Everybody has a dream; a dream that you know is absolutely absurd and the chances of it ever happening was impossible. How would you feel if it really did happen to you? And at the most unexpected of circumstances? Words can't express those swirling emotions that cause you an out of the world experience. I was in a similar state of dizziness now.
"Lucy." A familiar voice, more like the voice that had accompanied me from my birth called out. But it wasn't my mother's. Honestly I don't even know how my mom's voice sounds like because she died on the day that I was born. Unfortunately I had to get accustomed to this voice instead.
"Luciana!" The voice called out again but I couldn't locate where it was coming from. The pitch black vision of mine wasn't helping either.
If only I were conscious, I could recognise who the voice belongs to.
"You're not unconscious dummy! You are hearing me now, aren't you?"
Wow, the voice can even answer the riddles on my mind. Who is this supernatural power?
"If you can call my super good looks and talent as being supernatural power, you can go ahead with it. But if you don't get your ass off the floor now, I'll have to report you to father, Miss. Luciana Paige!" The voice shouted in annoyance.
My eyes flew open and it landed on a furious Taylor, who was seated on the computer chair and glaring at me. I was still lying down on the floor beside the chairs. I would normally get freaked out at the mention of my father but today it didn't affect me even a bit. That wasn't entirely true because I was scared to death that he might find out that I was breaking the rules and snooping around the security place. But my brain became a commander of its own and paralysed my body, not allowing me to get off the floor.
"Why has God decided to punish me with this bittersweet moment now out of all the times I have been alive?" I sighed dramatically as I placed my wrist over my forehead in a swift motion.
Taylor rolled her eyes and turned away to face the computer again. "Don't be so overdramatic, Lu." Her voice instantly hit my mind.
"You're the voice?" I inhaled a sharp breath but then a frown took over my features. "But wait! How were you able to know what I was thinking in my mind?"
She rolled her eyes again. I swear it's going to fall out someday considering the number of times she rolls her eyes everyday. "Yes, it's my own beautiful voice that I had been using ever since I was born. And to answer that stupid question of yours, you need to stop speaking out your mind if you don't want me to know what you were thinking about."
"So I didn't faint and have a conversation with my spiritual God?"
She chuckled at me. "You should stop watching those Greek soap operas. Zeus isn't alive here but you got to be lucky that you have me. Now get up." She continued to ramble but I couldn't pay attention to it.
So I haven't fainted? But why did it feel like I had?
Cause this was too good to be happening.
My subconscious reminded me. A huge grin broke out on my face as I thought about meeting those mesmerising green eyes for real this time. How wonderful would it be when he touches my hand to greet me and...
"Lucy!" Taylor snapped at me, bringing my attention back to her. "Were you even listening to me?"
"What?" I asked absentmindedly.
"It's not him. He is not here yet." She huffed in annoyance and slapped her hand hard on her thigh. Her eyes skimmed through something on the computer monitor and she seemed too serious and immersed in it.
