7. Virgin Mother With An Adopted Daughter!

Hey guys! Its me again! Sorry for being so unbelievably late as always. I hope you forgive me for it if you are still reading this book and bear with me for my late updates. So here is a short recap of what happened in the last chapter:

*New guests arrive at their home.

*Luci and Taylor sneak out to the guest arena to meet Zachery, which Tay is unaware of .

*Tay overhears Mr. Anderson getting furious over some missing item and links it to the maid Linda being investigated.

*Luci refuses and they meet a hot and gorgeous guy called Drew.

*Just as he leaves, Nicholas catches them both.

"Luci is here to see you!" Taylor said.

"What?" Nicholas and I shouted at the same time.

"Yeah, you're the one who said you were here for someone. You even dressed up for him didn't you?" She rolled her eyes.

My eyes widened in horror. She thought that I had come to meet Nicholas. I was about to protest and tell her that I had in fact come here to see a certain someone but then decided against it. Nobody can know that I know about his existence here. I had to think of something quick to lie.

Great, now that's something you are really good at.

Now was not the time for sarcasm. Just then an idea popped into my mind, giving me a light bulb moment. "I actually came here for Linda."

"Linda?" Nicholas scratched his hair.

"It's my personal maid!"  I smiled at him.

Taylor grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her. "What the hell are you talking about?" She whisper yelled into my ears.

"You wanted to know about the missing object, didn't you?" I grinned at her. That seemed to perk her up and she let go of me.

"Why are you in search of her?" He narrowed his eyes at us.

"I haven't seen her from morning and I really miss her already. And I can't believe that it's so long since she should have woken me up and I haven't even see her face yet. It's so strange.."

Taylor cut me off by shutting my mouth with her hand. "We just want to know something from her."

"What is it?"

"That's none of your business." Taylor spoke in a rather harsh tone.

"Taylor!" I reprimanded her.

"What?" She asked in an exasperated manner. "It really is not his business!"

"Actually it is. Because you are in search of someone under my custody." He smirked at her in victory to which she rolled her eyes.

"Why is she in your custody?" I asked.

"Didn't I tell you already? The maids are being investigated for the missing infinity and he must probably be the one in charge of it."

"How did you know that?" His eyes widened.
