Scott's POV
Mitch and I had just got to a bar when we ran into a familiar person, Tom. He was dancing alone. I felt kind of bad for him. But then I didn't, he almost made us cancel our first show on tour.
"Mitch, let's go get a drink at the bar." I suggested
"Scott that's Tom, in going to go say hi. I'll meet up with you in a bit, okay?" He replied in a cheerful tone.
"Okay." I mumbled.
Mitch's POV
I walked over to the dance floor. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to say. I thought I was going to be able to wing it but that plan failed. I decided to not go over there. It was going to be so awkward. Instead I walked over to the bar. I over heard some of Scott's conversation with the bartender.
"Can I get a shot?"
"Sure I'll need to see some ID."
"Okay." He handed the bartender his ID.
"Everything looks good, sorry we just have to make sure. You looked younger than twenty four."
"That's nice of you to say."
"It's true."
There was obviously some flirting going on between the two.
"So, here's that shot."
"Thanks. I really need it."
"Why?"
"I really like my best friend."
"Is that a problem?"
"No, it's just that he does a lot of stuff with a lot of men. I'm just jealous I guess."
"Hey. I decided not to talk to him. It's going to be super awkward." I said. I think I kind of shocked him.
"Mitch it will be fine. Just go talk to him, you're both adults."
Scott's POV
Oh my god. Did he hear what I said?! I wasn't sure what he heard. Let's just hope he didn't hear anything.
"So..." Mitch started." Do you think the bartender is hot?"
"What do you mean?"
"You guys have been hitting if off."
"Really? Have we? Do you think he likes me? I doubt it."
"I think he does. You should give him your number."
"I'm not sure."
"You should. Just give it a shot."
Mitch got up to go talk to Tom. And was going to talk to the bartender.
"Hey." I whistled." Can I get a beer?" ,
"Okay."
"Thanks. Here," I gave him my number and winked." maybe we could go out tomorrow."
"Um okay. What time." He said in a shy tone.
"Seven? I have a flight later in the night."
"A flight?"
"Yeah, I live in LA. I'm on tour."
"Tour? What for?"
"I'm in an a cappella group."
"So you won't be coming back?"
"Well depending on how well tomorrow goes...."
"So tomorrow at seven. Is here okay?"
"Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow at seven." I then got up and went over to Mitch.
Mitch's POV
"So, Tom how have you been?"
"Pretty good. Do you want to come over tonight. I have a apartment here in Chicago."
"Um I have a show tonight. But tomorrow I'm free to get lunch."
"Sure, let's do that."
"Okay."
"So how many shows have you-"
"Hey, so I gave him my number. I feel amazing right now." Scott said just interrupting our conversation.
"That's great Scott but I'm talking to Tom."
"Oh. Sorry. Hey Tom. How are you?"
"Good, how are you?"
"Pretty good."
Ugh this conversation is ruined.
"So, Tom, we have to get going but I'll see you tomorrow at two here?"
"Yep. Sounds like a plan."
"Good."
