Third Person POV
Mitch ran out the front door to see if Scott had left yet. With the rain pouring down it was difficult to see. Finally he spotted the car down the street. Mitch started to move to go down the steps when the front door opened once more to reveal Travis standing there with remorse in his eyes.
"Mitch I didn't mean to yell at you. Or hold you against your will. I was just joking around."
Mitch stared at him blankly.
"Who jokes around like that Travis! Oh yeah, people don't."
"I'm sorry, I won't do it again." He said sheepishly.
"For some reason I don't believe you." Mitch spat harshly. "Whatever," Mitch sighed"I have to go clean up the mess that you made. We'll talk tonight."
Mitch sped down the steps, almost slipping in the process. Finally he got to Scotts car. He lightly taped on the window to get Scott's attention. Lightning flashed across the sky as Scott rolled the window down.
"What do you want Mitch?" He croaked.
"I'm sorry, that kiss meant nothing to me." Mitch pleaded.
"It didn't look like nothing to me."
"Well it was nothing. I'm still engaged to him. He doesn't know about us."
"Why don't you tell him? Are you ashamed to be with me?"
"No, it's just I don't think that it's wise to call off our engagement without legal protection. We need to make sure he doesn't talk shit about me, but more importantly the group."
"Do you really think he would do that?"
"Maybe, I don't know. It's better to be safe rather than sorry."
"Okay....so do you still want to go get coffee?"
"Sure." Mitch went around to the other side of the car. Stopping, realizing that he was soaking wet and was going to ruin the seats in his car.
"Don't worry about the seats just get in the car." It was as if Scott knew exactly what Mitch was thinking.
"Are you sure?" Mitch asked.
"Yeah, don't worry about it. I'd rather replace my seat covers than have you get sick a week before tour starts."
"I'm not going to get sick." Mitch said sweetly.
"You never know." He said smirking. Soon they were at the at Starbucks ordering coffee.
*At Rehearsals*
"Hey guys sorry we're late." Scott said happily as he and Mitch walked in to the conference room.
"Since when have you two gotten along" Kirstie muttered bitterly.
"Excuse me?" Scott asked firmly.
"Nothing."
"No seriously what did you say? I really want to know."
"Scott," Mitch started "don't pick a fight, we're here to-"
"I just want to hear what she said. I'm not going to rehearse until she tells me what she said."
"You two never get along so I said and I quote: 'since when have you two gotten along' that's all I said okay?" Kirstie said all in one breath.
"Was it that hard?" Scott said in a childish voice, which I guess pushed Kirstie over the edge...Kirstie walked forward and shoved Scott into a wall, she got closer and closer to his face until their faces were only inches apart. They stood there for a couple of seconds before she causally walked away. She plopped down into a chair, setting her purse down when she did so.
"Are we going to talk about tour or what?" She asked angrily.
A silence fell among the group. Everyone stood in shock about what just happened, yet Kirstie acted like it was nothing. Slowly one by one everyone sat down and they started the meeting.
They talked about choreography, the production, about all of the staff involved, and then they finally rehearsed. After all of this, Scott and Kirstie still haven't said a word to each other. Mitch didn't like seeing them like this, neither did Avi or Kevin.
"Guys you have to make up at some point, tour starts in a week and then you'll have to talk. Why don't you just do it now, it will be better in the long run." Kevin finally said.
"Yeah, Scott why don't you start." Avi nudged.
"Okay, fine. Kirstie I'm sorry, I shouldn't have acted that way."
"Yeah, you shouldn't have."
"Hey," Avi snapped, "we're trying to be nice here remember?"
"I'm just telling him what I'm thinking."
"I know but you could still be nice about it." Kevin added.
"Scott, I'm truly sorry about pushing you into a wall it was irrational, and childish of me to do so."
"Apology excepted." Scott said cheerfully. Thankful to have it bestfriend back.
"Seriously though, why are you guys so friendly all of a sudden?" Kirstie asked.
"Well," Scott started, "it happened last night." He said quietly.
