Today Scott is going home. And it's a good thing, great even, but this means that I have to go home too. I haven't spoke to Travis since Scott went missing, and to be honest I'm kind of terrified. I mean I don't think Travis would hurt me, but you never know. Tour was postponed when Scott was admitted. So, now I don't have a reason to get away from Travis anymore, I have to face him. But on the plus side Scott is going home and getting better.
Yesterday in the hospital I asked him why he was hurting himself, and he wouldn't tell me. I asked him again and again and then he got pissed. So I left him alone. But I feel like he's not telling me something. If he doesn't feel comfortable telling me because he thinks I'd make fun of him for it, I would never do that. I don't know, it makes me worry.
I looked over and Kevin walked out of Scott's room into the hallway with me.
"Hey Mitch, can I get a ride?" He asked me.
Why can't he just go home with Avi?
"Um sure, where's Avi?"
"Oh, Esther needed to talk to him so he went to her place. He said he'd meet me here if I couldn't get a ride."
I wonder what Esther is talking to Avi about.
"Yeah I can drop you off. Let me say by to Scott before we leave."
"Okay I'll meet you in the lobby?"
"Yeah, I'll meet you down there."
I opened the door of Scott's room,he was standing, holding onto the bed, while Kirstie helped him put his pants on.
"Thanks Kirst."
"No problem."
Kirstie was talking quietly, that's strange, she was never like this in high school or ever, really.
"Hey Mitch."
"He Scotty!" Whenever he says my name, butterflies fly around in my stomach.
"Are you going too?"
"Yeah, I'm giving Kevin a ride, who's picking you up?"
"Oh, I thought you were doing that, but now I don't know who would. I mean Kirstie just left so...."
"Oh! I can still give you a ride, I just wasn't planning on making two stops, and then go home. I'm almost out of gas."
"You can stop at my house and take my car to get some gas for yours."
"Are you sure? I can just try and make it to a gas station on my way."
"I'm sure, perfectly fine."
"Okay. Thank you."
"No, thank you."
"No problem. Are you able to go yet?"
"Um, I think I have to sign a sheet, then I can go."
"Okay...."
"Sir,"
Thank you for saving us from an awkward silence, nurse!
"I have your discharge paperwork."
"Thank you." I watched her swing her hips side to side out the door.
"So what's on that form?"
"Just insurance stuff, and whatever else."
"Oh."
"Done!" He said happily. Great, Now we can go home!
----------- Third Person POV
After they got in the car they dropped Kevin off, then went to get some chipotle, now they were pulling up to Scott's driveway. Kirstie's car was out front, as well as Avi's.
"Why are they here?" Scott asked him.
Like I would know? Mitch thought.
"I don't know."
"Mitch, if this is a coming home party I swear to-"
"Scott I don't know why they're here."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm sure." He insisted.
"Okay. I trust you. Are we going to go inside?"
"Yeah," He sighed, "let's go."
"Don't be so put out by it." Scott mumbled that but Mitch could still hear him.
As they walked up the steps stirring from inside the house made Mitch think twice about wether it was a surprise party. They had never mentioned anything to him about it.
Mitch thought:
They're terrible at surprises, if it is one.
"Mitch are you sure they aren't in there ready to throw confetti at me?"
"I'm not sure, if they are I was not involved what so ever. I haven't been notified about a welcome home party."
"I hate surprises."
"I know."
As they walk in the door Kirstie pops up from behind the couch,
"Welcome home!" Avi and Kirstie say in unison.
"Thanks, it's good to be home."
"We actually got you something, well it's not here but you can pick it up in a week." Kirstie's smile made Mitch happy. He was glad Kirstie was in a better mood than earlier.
"Uh oh, what did you do Kirst?" Scott questioned.
"Do you want to see a picture or would you like it to be a surprise?"
"I hate surprises Kirstie. I wanna see a picture."
"Okay here." Kirstie handed Scott the phone, this picture on the screen:

"Kirst, what is this supposed to mean?"
"It means your getting a dog!"
"A dog?!" Scott squealed happily.
"Yes!"
"Wait, what breed? Gender? Vaccines?"
"Red healer, male, and that's why your picking him up in a week."
"Kit." Scott moved forward, hugging Kirstie while crying into her beautiful sweater.
"Thank you so much!"
"Avi helped too, he found the dog."
"Really?"
"Yeah." Avi was rubbing the back of his neck out of habit.
"Thanks Av." Scott gave Avi a bear hug.
Then he turned around and hugged Mitch, lifting him off the ground slightly, even though he wasn't supposed to lift anything.
After about an hour of sitting around and talking Avi and Kirstie left, leaving Mitch and Scott to talk.
