Home...CaliforniaThe closer I got to my house, the more anxious and agitated I became. And it definitely didn't help that there were three squad cars! What was wrong with one?
I saw our neighbours start to come out of their homes and the few that saw me coming didn't feel the need to hide the fact they were looking at me in disgust. I fought the urge to tell all of them to fuck off and walked up the drive way of the house. I opened the front door and followed the voices that were in the livingroom.
When I entered, I saw that there were four cops, Christian and Parker in the room. None of the men, and the one woman, looked pleased with whatever it is they were talking about. In fact, Christian and Parker both looked panicked and distressed while the cops bore an expression of remorse. This did nothing to settle the bad feeling that's brewing at the pit of my stomach. Spencer better get here quickly!
They all stopped talking and stared at me as I stared back at them. One of the cops cleared his throat and stood up slowly.
"Um..Hi?" I started awkwardly. "Wh-what is happening here?"
The cop that stood up first walked up to me while his entourage, Parker and Christian watched.
"Kate Johnson, correct?" He asked me calmly.
"Yeah? Why?"
He slowly put a hand on my shoulder and turned me around. My heart all but dropped when I heard the all too familiar sound of handcuffs rattling behind. Not again!
"Ma'am you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do
will be used against you in the court of law..." he trailed of his speech I have heard before. My vision became blurred as tears started to well up. I couldn't believe what was happening right now. My thoughts were racing wildly in my head. This couldn't be happening again! The sting of the handcuffs against my wrist brought me back to reality. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Parker? Christian? Why are they taking me...again?." I started to try lossen the grip of the handcuffs while the cop pushed me towards the exit.
"Baby don't put up a fight. Just go with them," I heard Christian say in a defeated tone.
"No! Stop! What the hell?" I started to thrash a little at the mans grip. This caused for another cop to come hold me in place as they pushed me towards the front door. I almost missed how the whole neighbourhood was stood in the front of my house just staring at whatever the hell was happening.
"I'll come for you Kate. Don't worry, I'll fight for you this time. I promise," Parker said from behind.
The officers pushed my head into the back of one of the squad cars and that's when the situation finally registered in my head. That's when I finally broke down in the tears I tried to suppresss earlier. No matter how many reasons I have not to trust Parker right now, I still couldn't help but hope that he will keep his promise.

LA prison...CaliforniaAfter about forty five minutes of an uncomfortable drive, the car finally stopped in front of a building I can only assume is the local prison. My door opened and an officer pulled me out, completely ignoring the uncomfortable position of my shoulders so a sharp pain was sent through my shoulder and up my neck. The officer pushed me up the stairs and in through the big double doors of the building.
Upon entrance, all eyes of the people sitting in their respective chairs and desks were fixated on me as I was pushed through to an elevator. The elevator went down and finally opened to where the cells are. The guard that was on duty didn't fail to stare at the officer pushing me into a cell with four other girls, each minding their own business.
The officer that escorted me here took of my handcuffs and gave one final push before closing the cell gate.
"What's she here for?" I heard the guard ask.
"She.." that's all I heard because the rest was whispered to the guard as if I wouldn't find out soon enough.
I got myself a spot in the cell that's far enough from everyone else. I needed to be alone at a time like this, but since I don't have much of a choice on that, this would suffice.
After what felt like a lifetime, I felt two shadows hovering over me. I lifted my head from my cupped hands and saw two of the four girls I found here standing in front of me.
"Can I help you?" I asked when they didn't speak.
"My girl there says you're famous. This true?" The taller of the two asked while pointing behind to one of the girls.
"Um. I wouldn't say that."
"Bullshit. You're all over the news. So did you do it?" The other asked. Clearly we have different versions of fame here.
I slowly stood up from my position and took in a sharp breathe in the process. I looked at the girl that asked the question and shook my head slowly.
"My mother always believed you didn't at your trail. She always watched on the news. She couldn't understand why waste your time trying to prove innocent if you did it."
"Um. Well thanks to her for believing in me I guess." I said slowy.
"So whatcha in here for then?" The first one asked.
"I don't even know. Mustn't be that bad if I'm in a holding cell right?" I asked hopefully.
"I guess."
Conversation died down after that and everyone went back to their original spots.
What felt like hours later a few more people were thrown in here. Some a little rattled and two balling their eyes out about being in jail.
I don't know how long I have been in here, but the chances of me being let out are looking slimmer as the seconds ticked by.
Heyy.
