L.A Courthouse...California"I have gone through all the evident submitted by both the defendant and the accused these past three weeks. I have carefully dissected every point front from both sides and have come to a conclusion. My conclusion was neither based on favouritism nor personal vendettas. I have have come to the conclusion that the accused, Kate Johnson, is guilty of the murder of Jacky Johnson-Saldana," I glanced quickly at Christian who had his head in his hands. Some people were relieved at the news and some were absolutely distraught. "And because of this, she will be doing time of twenty-five years at the local Maximum Security Women's Prison."
He hit the gavel to get the attention of protestors behind me.
I wasn't at all surprised at Judge Phil's decision. My lawyer had told me himself that there was nothing he can do. They had solid evidence against me. Eye witnesses. But I still took my chances.
"Ma'am. Please co-operate," an officer said to me. I must have zoned out and missed all previous instructions. I got up from my seat and saw Spencer and Christian looking at me with pity in their eyes. I ignored the annoyed feeling inside of me and gave them my best 'it's okay' smile. The guard led me out of the courtroom and down a corridor that led outside. There were of course a bunch of media reporters waiting for us outside and the police had to hide my face from any camera in my way.
I was shoved at the back of a police van and drove to the Maximum Security Prison I'll be put in.

L.A Maximum Security Women's Prison...CaliforniaWhen we got to the gates, there was another set of nosy reports throwing around questions that got got me on edge.
Do you think being a professional female kickboxing champion contributed to your conviction?
Does this have anything to do with your father?
Why did you do it?
All of these questions were making my anger towards everything boil up to a max.
Why is this happening to me again?
Am I some sort of useful blame target?
I was pushed in through a narrow door that led to a dark narrow corridor.
"Walk faster!" The prison guard shouted at me.
"I have fucking chains on my feet you-"
I was cut off by a sharp pain on my lower back. I fell forward and the guard kicked me in the ribs. "Don't ever talk to me like that Johnson."
I struggled to get up and when I did, the guard led me down another corridor and a few inmates were staring at me and making a noise. The guard tried to quiten them down by hitting her stick against the metal bars. The noise was piercing and my senses went wild.
I am not going to survive twenty-five years of prison.
Heyy hey. So what do you think? I hope you liked the prologue. Just a filler bit. Sorry it's so short.
If you are confused, you should probably go read book 1 first :p
