Kyle...he used to be, used to be the perfect guy. The guy every girl would want as their prince charming on a white horse. But that's why I had to say 'used to be'. I never believed in true love until it came knocking on my door, and there was Kyle. I found it quite funny at first though, doing the whole 'can I please borrow your pencil' in class move. Then it got to the point where he started to pretend to fail in class so that the teacher assigned me to be his tutor. The closer I got to Kyle, the further away I was pulled from Jai. being in love though, you kinda forget everything around you and that's when I didn't even realise that Jai himself had changed. Changed from the cheeky bad boy who got everyone he wanted to the new Jai that started working harder in school, joining more sports team and becoming more mature.
I found things more easier once me and Kyle started going out, I got to catch up with Jai every now and then and we gained a very well friendship. After a few months of dating Kyle, he started to get a little bit protective and he changed as well just like Jai did, just not in a very good way. His soft, wavy, light brown hair got cut very short and is now spiked up with a thousand litres of gel everyday. He started smoking and hanging around the wrong crowds, getting in fights and stuff like that. Every time we caught up I found a new bruise or cut on his body. He started acting like I was his pet dog and he owned me, I didn't appreciate that but I knew something was up and I felt sorry for him so I just continued the relationship as if nothing had happened. Bad, I know...I regret it now. So that, is why I used the term 'used to be'. But I still love him.

"Can I please work again tomorrow?" I know I don't necessarily like working but I didn't like getting bossed around either, so this was my plan.
"Oh honey, your the first person I've met that sounds like they actually wanna work" Mrs Dabby laughed as she flung the tea towel over her shoulder. She is a very old woman but I like that she's very dedicated into still working for her family's business.
I giggled "Yes I enjoyed working today and hoping to maybe come back tomorrow?" I hate lying.
"Sure dear, anyone who would reject more help is very silly indeed"
"Thanks Mrs Dabby" I smiled at her and went to walk out the café doors when I saw another customer sitting in one of the booths...brown hair. Oh god no, please no no no no no.
"Hey babe" Kyle. He got up and walked to me, close enough that we were almost touching.
"Hey...what are you doing here?" I tried not sounding rude
"Well, dumb shits like you can call it 'listening into other people's conversations' but I just call it eavesdropping" ok then I guess being rude was an understatement.
"Yeah...Mrs Dabby just needs a hand tomorrow so I thought I could help out you know with how old she is and stuff...she needs all the help she can get" is it sad that I'm sort of scared right now?
"There's no point in lying to me Kaylea" I felt a sting on the surface of my cheek, in lest than two seconds I raised my hand to cup the left side of my face. I looked to Kyle to see him panting. He slapped me.
"Kyle..." I felt the tears fill my eyes.
"I'll see you tomorrow Kaylea. No bloody excuses!" and with that, he was out the doors and speeding off down the road.
"Well...that went well." I laughed to myself. What happened to my Kyle? do I want him back?
