You had me at hello- chapter five

He lowered his hand slowly brushing it down my cheek and down my arm, sending shivers through my body...not necessarily from the cold. 


 

"Jai" he kept going, eventually both of his hands were at my waist pulling me slowly towards him. What seemed like after a few hours, my body finally touched his,the fact that he was freezing cold left my mind. He had one hand holding my lower back and the other now holding the back of my neck. I looked up and our eyes met. "Jai" 


 

What is happening. I could feel his whole body pressed up against me...he was, so, close. 


 

And then I woke up by a tapping sound and my phone ringing. 


 

The tv was still on and I had just switched it off before answering the phone. After that it was very dark, estimating it was around midnight.  


 

"Hello?"  


 

"Front door...now" 


 

"Ok then Mr. grumpy bum"  


 

"Shut up it's freezing out here"  

Line dead.  


 

I skipped down the stairs, two at a time singing 'impossible by James Arthur. Damn...I would marry him if I could.  


 

I opened the front door slowly to see a very pissed off Jai.  


 

"I'm just going to let you know..." Stepping inside closing the door behind him "that, I got a call from Melissa, asking if you were alright and asked if she could come over and join us" shit. "Care to explain"  


 

I awkwardly giggled "not really"  


 

"Why were you going to come over to my house?"  


 

"That's just what I told Melissa, doesn't necessarily mean it's true."  

He looked hurt.  


 

"And why wouldn't you be alright? Because the last time I saw you-" he stopped his sentence there. Then I realised what happened when I was last with Jai. Kyle. 


 

"Well...let's just say that wecanthangouttomorrowanymore" I said very quickly  


 

"And I'm guessing this has nothing to do with Kyle?" He said sarcastically, leaning against the wall.  


 

"Nope..." He smiled, knowing I was lying  


 

"Well that's good then..." 


 

"Yep" popping the p  


 

"So because this has nothing to do with Kyle" getting off the wall and walking towards me "then we CAN spend tomorrow together"  


 

"But I have work" I said confusingly  


 

"I never said what time we are gonna hang out" he said smiling...damn those dimples, he took my hand and led me upstairs to my bedroom.  


 

"You wanna hang out now?" I asked  


 

"Why not"

I'm glad I have a double bed...so that there was enough room for both of us. We had a really good talk and definitely a lot of laughing.  

I loved spending time with someone who you can always be comfortable with, and for me...that was Jai.  

We ended up building a fort in the middle of the room...don't ask.  


 

Eventually we both fell asleep...watching the lion king.  


 

When I woke up in the morning I looked next to me and there was Jai, still fast asleep.  

I was about to get up and start getting ready for work when he rolled over an placed his hand on my stomach pulling me close into his body. I guess it was alright at first but then he tangled one of his legs between mine.  

Well...i couldn't move, I was stuck in his grip. Is it bad that I don't really want to get up anymore? Why did I ask if I could work today.  

Jai was my best friend...I like being with him.  

I looked at the clock on the wall...9:30. Crap, I start in an hour.  

I shuffled a little to try get out of Jai's grip.  


 

"Jai..." I shook him a little "Jai I need to go to work soon" he tightened his grip...pulling me closer.  


 

"Kaylea...please don't move" he whined. Damn, he was cute.  


 

"Why?"  


 

"Because...I..."  


 

Deja vu. Remembering about the last time Jai was about to tell me something and his phone rung, yeah well it just happened again but this time it was the door bell.  

Are you serious?  

This time 'half asleep' Jai let me escape from his arms.  

I ran down the stairs...mum went to a work party last night, she must of stayed over.  

This should be her now...I should probably tell Jai to leave before she sees him.  

I opened the door and I think I had a heart attack. 


 

"Did you have a nice night with Jai?"
