*remake of chapter 5/6 - Jai's p.o.v*

I reckon I'm good at pretending to be asleep, don't you?

When I awoke...I saw her there. She was right there in front of me. The sunlight came in through the window making her hair a beautiful golden colour. I noticed her moving a little and her eyes started to flutter open, I closed mine. I felt her moving by my side...I didn't want her to leave, so I did what I had to do. I put my arm around her, trapping her in my embrace. After a few minutes she tried to shake me awake, damn it was so hard not to laugh but I made it through alive.

"Jai..." she shook me more. "Jai I have to go to work soon" oh, I should probably get up...but I really don't want to move, so I pulled her in tighter. I don't know what it is but this just felt right, her being in my arms. After all this time, I finally have her with me and Kyle is not involved. Every time I was with Kay-Kay, Kyle had somehow accomplished to interrupt and I was sick of it, but I wouldn't give up, not on Kaylea. She was mine.

While I was day dreaming, I hadn't realised that she stopped moving. I knew it was cold but I felt warm, I felt right...I wonder if Kaylea did too.

And then the door bell decided to ring. Are you f***ing serious? This time as Kaylea went to move, I let her go. suddenly feeling cold. To be honest, I was still pretty tired. I grabbed the top of the blanket, pulled it back over my body and snuggled into a ball like position. As I had closed my eyes I heard a few whispers and then the front door slammed shut...what was that girl doing? I waited about another 10 minutes (I know, great best friend I am) but I couldn't fall asleep...Kaylea wasn't with me. A loud sigh escaped from my mouth as I tossed of the rugs and stood up getting a few seconds of dizziness.

"Kaylea?" I shouted, no reply...

I walked further towards the door and shouted her name again, no reply. I tried skipping down the stairs as fast as I could but my legs were still weak. Even though the stairs weren't that long it still felt like it took an hour to get down them. Once I was at the bottom I could see the front door, no one was there.

"Kaylea?" I called again.

She was gone.
