The tapping of Judy's fingers on the keyboard echoed around the otherwise silent room. Nick had his feet resting on the table as he leaned back lazily in his office chair, holding his paws behind his head. Judy quickly brought up the missing mammal's report on the screen. "Look Nick!" the lupin gasped, staring at the screen. The screen showed a young adult wolf who had been missing from Tundra Town for four days. Her name was Ava Lobo. She was 19 years old and lived with her family. The files stated that she was working part time in a small cafe. A picture of the young wolf showed that she was slender yet able bodied. Her fur was silver with a white underbelly and her eyes were as crystal clear blue as ice. She was quite remarkable in looks. "Lets find our missing mammal" Nick murmured, rising from his chair. Judy printed out the files and pinned them inside her folder. "I think we should start by questioning her family, friends and others who knew her" the bunny declared as she readied to leave. Nick nodded in agreement, "Sounds like a plan, Carrots." He stared into her violet eyes for a moment before she quickly turned away, blinking. The fox smiled to himself as he and Judy walked out of the building, bidding their hasty goodbyes to the friendly Clawhauser on their way out. As the door closed behind them and the two partners stepped outside into the sunlight, Nick slipped on his shades. "I'm driving!" Judy exclaimed enthusiastically and ran to the drivers seat of the patrol car. Nick grunted good humouredly. "Oh great!" he said dryly, smirking to show he wasn't serious, "Now I know we are going to crash!" Judy glared at him as he hopped into the passenger seat next to her. She punched him in the arm, good naturedly, rolling her eyes yet not being able to stop the smirk that slid slowly across her soft face. "Dumb fox" she teased, giggling. The fox grinned. "Lets get going Fluff."
They arrived promptly at the Lobo residence. Nick stepped out of the car, slamming the door. He took a step towards the well structured building that stood in front of them. The vulpine immediately clutched his stomach in slight embarrassment when he heard its angry protests of hunger. Judy, skipping towards him, gave the fox a quizzical look. "Didn't you eat this morning?" She asked Nick. The fox shrugged his shoulders. "I had the last of the blueberries you gave me out of the goodness of your soft little bunny heart" he answered, messing around and trying to evade the conversation. "Nick!" Judy gawked, "I gave you those blueberries last week! There would have been hardly any left AND they would've been all shrivelled up!" Her large amethyst eyes softened in concern as she continued on, "As pleased as I am that you had a healthy breakfast, that certainly isn't enough. We will have to get you a proper meal after this." Nick shook his head, not understanding why the bunny cared so much. However he sighed gratefully. "As you wish, your majesty" he remarked, bowing to her in a dramatic gesture. Judy giggled, making Nicks eyes light up as well as causing his bushy tail to wag. He straightened up and leant his elbow on her head. "So, shall we go greet Ava's family?" Nick suggested casually yet with a semi weary look in his green depths. Judy brushed his arm off quickly. "Yes we shall" she declared, puffing her chest out and leading them to the wooden door. She rapped her knuckles on the door loudly, turning nervously to Nick as she heard heavy paw steps plonking towards the door.
