Bravery Vs. cowardice

"Will you come with Me? " I ask Rusk as he finish tying his laces.
"We have trekking to do. Aren't you aware?" He tell me without looking at me.
"I know. I'm aware. I'm sorry Rusk but I need you to break some rules with me. I need to do this." I say trying to convince him.
"What on earth are you planning to do zia? Do I have the right to know before giving in? " he says. I knew he would never leave my side even if it meant losing some marks.
"I am going to overcome my fears. I am going to seek for answers to all my questions. I'm going face my greatest fears. Not because I want to be accepted but because I have to move on happier... with you" as I finish, Rusk held my hand and planted a kiss on my forehead. He knew what I was talking about and he was in it, to fight my battle.
"Lets move before your macho man sees us" Rusk suggests and we ran down the main road, feeling contented to finally having gathered enough courage to pursue my most dangerous adventure.

"Where is Ziara and Rusk? " enquires Prof.
"None of us saw them Prof. Butler" replies Adele.
"We don't have anymore time, I'll get back to them later on. Dealing with irresponsible students have been my favorite occupation. " he says with a tone of calmness. I always appreciated him for his very calm nature.

The door opens and a lady appears in front of us. She was dark and charming, young in age as me.
"Can I help you? " she asks politely.
"Oh hello, I'm here to see Mr. Williams. Isn't he home?" I ask as I stare at the sitting room behind the door she was standing.
"He will be here in a few mins. If you can wait."
"That sounds fine. We will wait, right Rusk?" I say nervous and almost breaking down.
"Yes Hon we have all the time" Rusk say smiling at the young lady.
"Please come inside. You want tea? Coffee? " she offers.
"No Thankyou. A glass of water will do perfectly well" I say as I allow my eyes to hover around the well furnished sitting room. The paintings on the wall were similar to that of moms. Maybe dad still misses her.

Car arrives outside. I fast forward to the window and peeped from behind the lace curtains. There he was, tall and handsome, well polished shoes and well suited. And his eyes, crystal blue.

"Lets get out of here Rusk, he is here" I tell Rusk.
"Noway I'm not moving. We came here for this. We can't leave this incomplete and let yourself regret for the rest of your life."Rusk says sounding encouraging but I felt sick.

What if he did not recognise me? What if?
"Someone's here to see you sir." The lady tells him as she take his office bag from his hands.
"I told you Tina, no personal visits." He replies sounding old and tired.
"You don't wanna miss this meeting Sir. Go and have a look. " Tina assures him. Which meant that Tina knows me. Maybe or Maybe not. But why was she telling dad that he wouldn't want to miss this.
"Yes Hello" A deep manly voice calls as he enter the sitting room.
Rusk stands up and greets him.
"GoodMorning, Mr. Williams. Very glad to finally meet you"
I kept my head low, looking at the floor and not looking up.
"What brings you here my boy? "He asks.
"Well it is not me but my girl who wanted to see you sir." I always hated Rusk for being too direct and honest.
"Hello Miss. You aren't shy. Are you? " dad says as he give an amicable laugh.
"Hello Mr. Williams. " I greet back as i put my head up to face him.
After that was complete silence. That look on his face did not surprise me, as I knew exactly how he would react. He takes a deep breath again and again and allow himself to settle in the sofa facing me, startled and exhausted.
