Izo Part 13

I open my eyes. "Good morning." I turned to see Izo. "Did we fall asleep?"

"Seems like it." He displayed his usual smirk. I suddenly realise we have school. "Izo we need to get ready for school!"

He let out a tsk. " School is pointless for me. Who cares?" I suddenly got really angry. "I care. Now hurry and let's go."

"Alright then. Oh and at school please call me Ikyo. Wouldn't want anyone knowing our little secret do we?"

I nodded and we set off for school. Suddenly he puts his hand on my mouth and drags me into an ally. He lets go. "HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?".

He covers my mouth again and moves closer putting his arm beside my head. "SSH, do you hear that?"

He becomes alert and looked around. "Yuki. We are going to have to skip school today. Come on I'll take you somewhere safe but stay quiet."

I trust him but what did he hear. What's going on? He told me to be quiet so I'm just going to have to wait. He pulls me in with him arm.

I feel so safe with him. "Right, this way." His determined face is so cute. No no this is not the time. He grabs my hands and pulls me along.

I wonder where a bout's we are going. "Right were here."
But this is a house. Perhaps this house. "How is it safe?"

He winks and sais,"We can disguise it." Wow that's so cool he made it completely disappear. It's like it never existed and the buildings around it fitted together like jigsaw pieces

"But where is it?" He took me in the middle of the buildings and we went straight thought into a nice modest place.

"This is where I live, make yourself at home. If my suspicions are correct you need to stay here for a long while. Of course I don't have a problem with that." He smirked.

"Why what's happening?" His face turned serious. "Western tribe. They're here and they've heard of you. They consider you a threat. They want you killed.
"Im going to die? How do you even know this?"

"You won't die. I won't let it happen. I will protect you and that's why you must stay with me. I know this because I heard them talk about you when you came around. Ever since I kept my eye on you. I never thought they'd actually be here though."

He really does want to protect me. I run up to him and hug him tightly. "Thank you."

"I-it's fine." He lost his coolness for a slim second and became somewhat sheepish.

"I'm going to make us tea." He marches off to the kitchen. He comes back with two mugs with Twinnings Cherry and Cinnamon Tea.

I go to drink it and--"Yuki." His lips were touching mine and he kisses me gently.H-he kissed me. "Eh ummm." He pulled away and I put my fingers to my lips still feeling his'.

"I couldn't hold back....sorry" he rubbed the back of his head. "It's fine, really." I was blushing incredibly.

We both sat it silence and drunk our tea. I asked "Do you have any books?"

He got up and came back with a few. "I don't get your obsession with reading Yuki but you look cute when your head is in a book." Why does he keep teasing me? 😭😭😭.

"What should we do then?" I guess he was bored. Watch TV sounds great. "Let's watch TV?"

"Since you're cooped up in here I'll be with you-- just so you know you won't be alone."

As long as I had him with me I didn't care. I guess I do like him after all.
