I told them I wanted to go alone and head off. I started getting cold. Suddenly, I saw the same flash of midnight black fur but this time I decided to follow it.
He led me to an open field where I see six red bulbs in the distance. It was the Western pack. I gasped. Covering my mouth I realised I had spoken.
"Why did you attack her!" Her? Does he mean me? The alpha snickered.
"Why do you care so much for the human? Did you get soft?" Izo growled at them.
"I regret everything I did back then but I'm different now."
The alpha afterwards just waltzed away with five other wolves tailoring behind him.
Izo sighed." I know you're hiding there, come out." he said with a firm but smooth tone. It was clear he didn't want to hurt me. I took a deep breath hesitating to make another step wondering if everything I heard about him is true or maybe he's misunderstood.
"Thank you--For saving me again." He bowed and started to stride towards me but then stopped when he heard a sudden howl. I then heard a whisper. Be safe.
