It was there premiere of Status Update and you were sandwiched between so many famous people that you've only admired from afar. Seeing them saying their hellos and congrats to Ross, and everyone being so delighted to meet you only felt like a dream, but in fact, it was reality. Ross was your amazing boyfriend and you were his plus one to one of the most important events of his life.
As people were piling into the theater, you could almost list everyone that walked past the two of you, but they wouldn't be able to do the same, which got you to thinking on why he just couldn't date another famous person, instead of a nobody like you.
The premiere went great, and you both went back to your shared apartment after the movie.
"I can't believe people liked it!" Ross smiled as he hung his leather jacket up in the closet. "Everyone thought you looked so beautiful tonight, but what they don't know is you always do." He kissed your left cheek as he walked into the bathroom to get ready for the night. You laid in bed, engulfed in your own thoughts, until you felt the bed dip and Ross' arm was making its way behind your head.
"Why me?" You blurted out.
"What do you mean?" Ross asked, concerned.
"You saw all those girls tonight. So many famous people that you could have with the snap of a finger, but you want me? I'm nothing special. I have a normal person job, and I don't have any talent like you do, I'm just...me." You closed your eyes and sighed. You've had these thoughts for a while, but they never wanted to spill out until now.
"You're right, I could have anyone I wanted. But I want you. You're smart, funny, witty, clever, amazing, beautiful, sexy I even might add. My family loves you, and it's been awhile since everyone has loved one of my girlfriends. You and Rydel are attached at the hip sometimes, and you keep my grounded. When the fame life is too much for me, I can come home to you and know that everything's gonna be okay because I have the most amazing woman in my life. I love you so much." He kissed you softly. Once he pulled away, he noticed you starting to cry slightly.
"That is the most wonderful thing anyone's ever said to me. I love you too." You said as Ross wiped the tears from your eyes. "I've just always wondered, and tonight I couldn't get that thought out of my head."
"I want you to never think that again, okay baby? You mean the world to me." He got out of bed and shut the lights off, and put you in his arms. The rest of the night was talking about how the premiere went, and how he never wanted to let you go.
