Crystal-Violet
I made my way to my car for the night. It was a great first day, if I do say so myself. I press the unlock button on the little remote to unlock my car. I really don't wanna leave yet, and I don't know why either. Why is it every time I come to the office I don't wanna leave when it's time? Maybe I should spend the night with Martin so won't keep feeling like this. I mean, the worst thing he can say is no, so why not?

Alright. Good thing I keep a bag of extra clothes, an extra toothbrush, and other necessities in my car just in case I unexpectedly need to stay somewhere. I grab it, assuming Martin will let me stay, and make my way back inside. Look at me, this is something I would never thought I would do; asking my boss to spend the night. Now that I think about it, this is wrong. But I'm already on the third floor so it doesn't make any sense for me to go all the way back down to my car.

As I approach Martin's door, my nervousness starts to increase. Oh god what if he looks at me weirdly and thinks of me differently? Too late I'm already knocking on the door. No turning back now.

I stand there, my heart pounding.

Then the door opens, revealing a confused Martin.

"Crystal?" He says.
"Martin." I say right after, I hope he doesn't notice my nervousness.

"What are you doing here? Don't you have to go back home?"
"Well, um, I was just, um. Uhh..."
"You can tell me, what do you need? Just tell me."
"Canispendthenightwithyou?" I said, sucking in a slight breath after. He furrowed his eyebrows and gave me a look.

"You wanna try that a little slower?"
I sighed. "Can I spend the night with you?"
"Why do you wanna spend the night?"
"Because we can rehearse the plan and perfect it so we won't mess up when we actually execute it." I lie.
"Okay, now the real reason why you're here?" He responds, crossing his arms against his chest and leaning against the door frame. Damn it.

"I don't wanna leave."

He chuckled and smiled at the ground.
"To be honest, I didn't want you to leave either." He said, not making eye contact with me.
"You didn't?"

He nodded in response, still not looking at me.
"Why?"
"I don't know. Why don't you wanna leave?" Now he looks at me.
"I don't know either."

He smiled.
"Well since we both don't know why you've come back, you may stay the night."
"Yay!" I say, grabbing my belongings and entering the studio.

"Wait?" I asked, turning around to face Martin who's closing the door.
"What?"
"Do you have anything to work on? If you do then I probably shouldn't be here disturbing you and-"
"You're fine. I just have to send the track to my manager, Scooter."
"Oh okay."

While Martin goes to send the track, I walk over and I put my Chanel purse along with my clothes bag on the right end of the couch.

Martin's so nice. I didn't think he would let me stay, but here I am. Oh I should probably text Dustin and tell him I won't be home until tomorrow. I do so and I take my heels off. Unfortunately, the one thing I didn't have in my clothes bag was pajamas. Maybe Martin will let me borrow one of his shirts. Let me ask him.

"Hey do you have a shirt I could borrow? I forgot to pack pajamas in here."
"Yeah, through that door is my room. You can wear whatever is in my closet." He says, pointing to the wooden door that's next to the couch.
"That's a bedroom in there? I thought it was a storage closet or something."
"No," he giggled. "When we were building the studio, I wanted a room in here just in case if I don't wanna go home or I need to be in the studio for more than a day, I won't have to go back and forth between my house and here."
"That's so clever!"
He gives me a light chuckle. "Thanks. There's also a bathroom if you wanna freshen up. There's towels in the closet as well."
"Thank you."
"No worries."

Martin
Crystal went inside the bedroom with her clothes bag and closed the door. I can't believe she actually came back because she didn't want to leave. I thought I was the only one who didn't want her to go, and I'm glad I wasn't.

I was just about to send the track to Scooter when I got a FaceTime call from him. I answered it.

"Hey bro!" I said once the call was connected.
"Hey you sent the track yet?"
"I was just about to until you called."
"Oh sorry about that."
"It's totally fine."

Scooter went on and talked about his family and some of the upcoming events I was scheduled to play at while I had him on pause and sent the track.

Not long after I got back to Scooter's call, Crystal came in, wearing a plain white shirt of mines that stopped at her mid thighs. Her hair was down. Wow she looked really good in my shirt. I was looking at her through what my camera was showing.

"Well well well, Martin. Who do we have here?" Scooter says. That tone in his voice makes me wanna hide but I can't unfortunately. Crystal turns around, her face turning a light shade of red.
"Is this your new girlfriend?" Oh my god, Scooter, can you not?

"Very funny," I say, making sure he notes my sarcasm. "This is my day-to-day manager, like how you wanted me to have one."
"Ah, so I see." He said.

Crystal walks over to the computer.
"Hi Mr. Braun, I'm Crystal-Violet but you can call me Crystal. It's nice to meet you." Crystal greets.
"Hello Crystal. And please, call me Scooter." Scooter replied.
"Okay, Scooter."

"Crystal, would you like to sit down?" I asked her. She was on her feet in heels for almost the whole day.
"Please?" She said.
I got up from the spinny chair and allowed her to sit there.

"Where are you gonna sit?" Crystal asked me. I didn't say anything as I brought the square footrest from the couches.

"So how are you Crystal?" Scooter asks her.
"I'm well, and you?"
"I'm doing great."
"That's good to hear."
"Martin, I could tell that she is gonna be great for this job." Scooter says to me.
"Thanks, I'm glad I chose her." I respond. Crystal has a big smile on her face.

"You're very beautiful, Crystal. Maybe that's another reason why Martin chose you as well."
"Oh well thank you."
"I don't choose anyone by beauty." I said.
"If you say so." Scooter replies. God, why must I go through this?

➕✖️

"Scooter's nice, I like him." Crystal says after we end the FaceTime call.
"Yeah he's the best manager ever."
"Well I guess I can't top him then."
I laugh a light laugh. "No not really, but I'm pretty sure you'll be up there."

We said nothing as we stood up and stretched. Then Crystal spoke.

"So what are the sleeping arrangements?"
"You could take the bedroom, I'll take the couch." I offered.
"Are you sure? That doesn't seem like the right thing to do."
"It's fine, I've slept on the couch before."
"But-"
"Don't worry."
She sighed in defeat. We made our way to our sleeping places.

"Goodnight Martin." She said before opening the door.
"Goodnight Crystal." I reply sitting on the couch.

And with that, we both surrender to our tiredness and went to sleep.
