Martin
The light from the rising sun shining through the windows is what woke me up that Tuesday morning. I sat up, swung my legs over the edge of the couch, and stretched my arms out. I walked over to the balcony and opened the double doors. The air was warm, but it wasn't humid. As I stood there, taking in deep breaths every once in a while, my mind started to clear. I like to do this every so often. It helps with not letting the fame and pressure get to my head. I like to be humble and not forget where I came from. That reminds me, I need to make a trip for Amsterdam soon, to visit my friends and family back home. Maybe next month, when I have those two weeks off.

"It's a beautiful view." A voice says from behind me. Crystal. I smile and turn to look at her sideways. "Yes, I know." I replied.

"Do you come out here every morning?" She asks, walking out to the railing and standing beside me, looking out into the distance.
"No, but when I do, it always leaves me in a better mood for the rest of the day." I answer, looking in the same direction as her.

"What do you have to do today?" Crystal asks.
"I have an interview for Popsugar and then I have to go to Scooter's place to release the track to the public. You'll probably need to come with me, in case other things pop up and you can schedule them."
"Okay. I'll need to run back home and change because I didn't pack any clothes to wear today."

I looked down at my watch. It's a little past 7 am.

"It's like 7 right now and the interview is at 9. So you'll probably need to leave like right now." I inform her.
"Yeah you're-"
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!"

I look back to where that voice had just yelled from. It's Caroline. Great, just great.

"Crystal spent the night." I say nonchalantly.
"And you just let her, without any hesitation?"
"Yeah. Is there a problem?"
"Uhhh yeah. Whenever I asked you to spend the night before, you always gave me an excuse and told me no. Now that she hasn't even worked here for a whole entire week, she's already wearing your shirt and sleeping in your bed."

"I'm sorry Caroline, I didn't know." Crystal speaks up.
"You know what, I don't care! Martin, just admit you like her already so you don't have to keep sneaking around behind my back!" Caroline angrily spurts.

"I don't like Crystal." I answer, not really believing myself.
"Sure, go ahead and lie right to my face. You know Martin, I thought that we were at least friendly!"
"We are." I say truthfully.
"So why does she get special treatment?"

Now that's a question I couldn't find an answer to. I don't know. Now that Caroline is saying all these things, it really puts everything into perspective. My thoughts get interrupted by Caroline's voice.

"Now you aren't answering me. Okay, whatever. I need some time to myself. Have fun!" She says with a sarcastic smile and walks out of the studio, the sound of her heels clicking against the wood floor fading as she walked further and further away. Well that went great.

"Martin, I know you don't like Caroline all that much, but she should be treated equally as me. You've known her for longer. She's right, you know." Crystal says softly. I take her advice into consideration, and she's right.

"Yeah, you're right." I tell her.
"The next time you see her, apologize to her."

I nodded in agreement.
"And I think we should put the plan on hold after everything cools down and returns to normal." Crystal adds.
"I agree."
"Alright well I'm gonna run back home so we can get to your interview on time." Crystal says, placing a hand on my shoulder, and removing it a second after. I nod once more before she goes into the bedroom. I run my hands through my hair and rub my face slowly. I still need to brush my teeth. I'll do that once Crystal is finished.
