Chapter 20

Martin
I started to stir in my sleep until I finally realized that I wasn't going to fall back asleep anytime soon. I looked over to where Crystal was; she was laying on my chest, her hand on my stomach. We could be here forever, for all I care. Being in her company puts me in such a better mood. I smile more, laugh more, and overall my heart feels lighter. It's so crazy, I've never felt about anyone like this before. Not even Madison.

Unknown POV
So Martin thinks he got himself another slut? Oh please, he'll never love her like he loved me. That stupid bitch can take her ass somewhere else, as long as she's not around my man. That's right, he's mine.

That slut needs to realize that. And I'll make sure of it.

Martin
We really should get up, go visit mom and dad. "Crystal?" I whisper.
"Crystal."

She opens her eyes. Looks up at me, smiles.
"Good morning." I say.

I think she realizes the position that we're in because she jumps backwards to where we're not touching at all. "I'm sorry" she apologizes.

I chuckle lightly, "It's okay, I don't mind."
"So what's the plan for today?" She asks.

"Today we're spending the day with my parents. You don't mind, right?"
"Of course not, your parents are so nice. So is Laura."
"I know. Wanna start getting ready? We could have breakfast there."
"I'm down." She smiles again, the one that makes my whole world light up.

An hour later

"Crystal, are you ready?" I say from the other side of the bathroom door. Just then, she opens the door, "Okay, I'm ready."

She emerges from the bathroom. She's wearing a crop top and a skirt with 3-inch heeled pumps. She had curled her hair and pinned two front pieces of hair towards the back. How does she manage to look so good in anything and everything?

"Is there something I can do for you, Martin?" she asks, acting all innocent. I have a feeling that she knows exactly what she's doing to me.

"No, no. Let's go, shall we?"

We walk out of the hotel. I open the passenger side door for her when we arrive at the car. From there, I drove us to my parents' house.

Crystal-Violet
The drive to Mr and Mrs Garritsen's house was pretty quiet; comfortable silence. As he is still driving, I suddenly remember that Martin said that he would explain why he built the house for his parents.

"It was their gift from me to them. I wanted to thank them for supporting my dream of being a DJ/Producer." Martin explains.

"That's so cute!" I squeal. Martin just smiles and shakes his head.

I drank his featured in as he drove. He has a really nice side profile. His caramel hair, the way the sun made his blue-green eyes pop, the smile that played at his lips. I am at an utter loss for words. He truly is so handsome, I wish he would recognize that. He looks at me as I'm still drinking in his beauty.

"What?" He lightly chuckles.
"You're so handsome, you know that?"

I saw his face flush a light shade of red, he smiles, looking down for a split second, then back to me.

"Stop, seriously." He says playfully.
"What? I can't compliment you when you compliment me all the time?"
"Okay fine, it's only fair."

We pulled up to the grand mansion that Martin's parents call home.
"Wait here." Martin commands as he undos his seatbelt and opening the driver door. I oblige. He walks around to the passenger side door and opens the door.

"Such a gentleman, I see." I say.
"Only for you."

We walk up to the front doors. Yes, doors, they were double doors. I'm still in awe of this house, and I have yet to see inside it.

Martin knocks and we wait. His father answers the door.

"Hello, son. Hello...Crystal, correct?"
"Yes Mr. Garritsen." I reply.
"Alright great. Please come in."

Martin gives his father a hug as we walk in. Just as I suspected, the house is just as beautiful as it is on the outside. Marble floors, a high ceiling, a chandelier hanging over the living area that most likely costs way more than everything I own combined, huge windows that give a breathtaking view of the landscape. "It's Barbie's dream house." I thought.

"We came to have breakfast with you guys, if you didn't already." Martin explains.

"Oh no, your mother is making breakfast right now!" said Mr. Garritsen.
"Guess we're just in time then!" I say.

Everyone laughs lightly. Then Martin's dad takes leads us to the kitchen.

"Honey, we have guests!" Martin's dad announces as we enter the kitchen. His mother turns around, wiping her hands on the apron she has on, a smile instantly lighting up her face.

"Hi my sweet Martijn! Good morning, Crystal-Violet!" I love his mom, she's always so cheery, it lightens my mood.

"Hi mom." Martin walks towards her, giving her a kiss on the cheek and a hug. I give her one also.

We all decide to have breakfast out on the backyard patio. I'm glad, since we've been cooped up in the hotel room. There's a table to fit all 5 of us (including Martin's sister).

Martin's mom made omlettes, toast, and turkey bacon. I took a plate walked outside where Martin was already seated, waiting for the rest of us.

"Your mom seems like an amazing cook!" I tell him.
"Thanks."
"Can you cook as well?"
"Well who do you think I learned from?"

We both giggled.

Just then, the Garritsens come out with their plates. Mrs. Garritsen runs quickly back inside after putting down her plate of food and bringing back a glass pitcher.

"Fresh squeezed, homemade orange juice." She says with a smile.

"Oh my god, you're gonna love the orange juice," Martin says to me. "Mom always makes the best homemade juices."
"May I have a glass then?" I ask. Martin passes me a glass that was at the end of the table and poured some orange juice into it. I took a sip.
H-E-A-V-E-N!!

"Oh my gosh, Mrs. Garritsen, this is the best orange juice I've had in my whole entire life!"
She smiles sweetly, "Aw well thank you very much, dear. Its a family recipe."
"Well you have to teach me it so I can make some myself!"
She chuckles, "Oh absolutely!"

"Let's say grace." Mr. Garritsen says.

I guess they're religous. We all join hands.
"Laura, would you like to lead the prayer?" Martin's dad asks.
She says nothing as she bows her head.

"Dear God, thank you for blessing us with another day of life. We thank you immensely. We also thank you for the lovely food that we are able to enjoy and the roof we have over our heads. Please watch over us as we continue to try and make you proud. Amen."

"Wonderful, Laura." Martin's mom says.
"Let's eat!" Martin exclaims. We all laugh and begin to dig in.

Wow I never had such great tasting food, like, ever. That's it, I need to learn Ms. Garritsen's ways, they're just too good.

We sit and chat for a while before taking our leave. As Martin and I are walking out of the house, I hear something rustling in the bushes. That's weird because there was barely any breeze. I tried to ignore it, but I heard it again.

"Martin, I think-"

I was cut off by a woman with mid-length black hair and a perfect body emerging from the rustling bush.

"Hello Martijn. Who do we have here?"

He's dumbfounded. "Madison??"
