Secret Below The Surface

Chapter 3

● Rin's P.O.V. ●

"Eyes as blue as the ocean." His eyes remind me of that day. "I'm sorry what?" Oh, I said that? "I um just said that I like your swimming trunks they're as blue as your eyes." I think that was a good fix.

Haru sits down beside me when I realize I haven't told him my name. "I'm Rin by the way." I look back out at the sea wondering where this boy came from. I live in a small town and if he lived around here I would have noticed him sooner, right?

"Rin. I like it. So what are you doing out here? it's getting a little late." I look at the sky as the sun is about to completely set. "I just thought I'd have a quick walk on the beach." He nods his head staring at the water.

We sit in silence for a little while, but the strange thing is its not awkward. In fact, it's kind of a comfortable silence. I break the silence by asking where he's from. "Nowhere important. I'm sorry but I have to go my friends will get worried if I don't get back soon." He gets up to leave but I grab his ankle.

"Can we hang out again soon? Say, tomorrow around noon or so?" He hesitates with his answer but eventually nods and starts walking down the beach.

I walk back to the Samazuka dormitories thinking about the boy I just met. I go lay down on the bottom bunk just thinking. I was in such deep thought that I didn't notice Nitori and Momo fighting again.

"Sousuke why are they here?" I sit up and roll my eyes. "I don't know, I'll get rid of them." Sousuke shoves them out the door and locks it.

"What were you thinking about?" I just shake my head, "Nothing. It's not important." I go get a shower and go to bed thinking about one thing, Haru, the boy with a mystery behind those beautiful ocean blue eyes.
