"I just wanna run, hide it away." Stiles began the song and Lydia's mouth literally dropped to the floor. She manages to grab her beer and take a quick drink before gawking again. "I just wanna run, I'm out here all alone." His eyes catch hers and he grins into his words, pointing to her with the next part. "I try to call your house, can't reach you on the phone." She grins and begins to wiggle a little to the song. If she thought his voice was smooth when he talked, shit it was even smoother when he sang. It strained slightly when he hit higher notes causing him to squeeze his eyes shut.

Lydia found herself adoring his energy up on the stage, his smile, his voice, dammit everything about this moment made him less annoying than she'd ever seen him before.

"Anyone sitting here?" He already had a drink in his hand, taking the seat without letting her answer. Lydia was instantly smiling.
"That was amazing! Y-you never told me you could sing and–" she rambled on in awe and Stiles chuckled as she dramatically explained how good his band was and this and that. After a while, when she wouldn't shut up, his cheeks began to hurt from grinning, a blush setting his skin burn and a knot in his stomach.

"I honestly didn't think you'd show up tonight, Toots." He hums, circling the rim of his glass with a finger while looking down at the table. Lydia smiles lightly, looking past their booth to some girls at the bar who were eyeing Stiles with bitten lips. They catch Lydia's gaze and she wastes no time in discreetly flipping them off.
"Well I figured the band members got free drinks?" She held up her empty glass to his eyesight and he laughed.

But she was right.

A minute later, Lydia's fresh beer was brought along with a whole tray of colorful shots. She looked to them with wide eyes before glancing at Stiles. "Careful, we might get back to square one." She says, referring to the night they'd met.
"What's something you've never done?" He asks, picking up a vibrant blue shot.
"Uh...I've definitely never sung on a stage before." She gestures to him.

That was practically a freebie. he downed the alcohol and scrunched his face as it burned his throat.
"Never have I ever danced on a bar top." He managed, letting out a cough afterwards.
"Dick." She mutters, grabbing a maroon drink. With a grin he watches the liquor slip past her lips, a spell of coughing ensues afterwards and it was obvious she wasn't a heavy drinker.
"Never have I ever slept with more than two girls in one night."
"Together or separately?" He smirks before downing a shot. "Toots, are you implying that you've slept with a girl before?"

"Only in your dreams." She fake smiles.
"Never have I ever been in love." Both of them stay still. Maybe he was expecting her to grab a drink, but she never did. Instead she was looking him straight in the eyes, as if challenging him to say something about it. She broke first, glancing at the table before looking out to the dance floor. Some form of pop music had been put on once his band was done and there were a few people out there; two couples and a group of girls.

"You wanna dance?" Stiles asks, watching the way she had looked at everyone else. She turned back.
"No, no, I uh am not a good dancer." She stutters ferociously.
"You are on a bar top when you're drunk." He comments with a chuckle that makes her blush.
"Well I'm not nearly drunk enough for that yet." She laughs. Then, unexpectedly, she takes a shot from the tray and downs it, slamming the small glass on their table.

"Okay, now I'm ready." She wheezed. He briefly questioned her bare feet but didn't linger on it for too long, his hand on her lower back to guide her towards the crowd. And damn was she right when she said she couldn't dance. The girl moved awkwardly across from Stiles, nervously glancing at everyone around them and occasionally looking to her feet as she jerked her body in weird ways. He tried to contain his grin because he had finally found the imperfection in little miss perfect.

She looked at his smirking face for one second, a scowl on her face before she attempted to storm off.
"No, Lydia!" He grabbed her wrist with a laugh before tugging the girl back to him and she groaned, standing still. "Here...just, uh..." He pulled her closer with an uncertain expression and her cheeks were a dark rose. Never had she blushed so much in one night. His hands pulled her even closer then as they settled on her hips, her fingers instinctively going to his neck.

She gave him a nervous smile as he began to move, Lydia following his lead until eventually she could pass for a plausible dancer. They drank more shots, got more drunk, danced a lot more. He brushed her hair back and smirked into her skin and in return she fell into him more, chest to chest now.
"Just so you know." Lydia slurred on their walk home. "We're not hooking up tonight."
