heart made of glass,
watch as it begins to crack. It's jagged edges
prick to the touch.
May appear weak,
fragile.
Clear as water
with messy words
laced in transparent ink.
Nothing.
Is able to be seen but a
faint silhouette of a
glass heart.heart made of glass,
watch as its transparent blood
leaks upon these pages
in colorful tragedies..
a silent, painful,
cry for help.'break me already! I can't take it!'
'PLEASE!'
Another colorful tragedy
comes into play.
Watch it leak into this canvas
painting a girl locked in her room
as they shouted outside her door.Watch her helplessly break and crack.
With every chastisement
so carelessly shed,
so carelessly said
from one to the other.Watch as she falls apart.
Words she never meant to say
draped themselves across her shoulders and enveloped her
sore, bruised neck.'Please..help me..'
All that left her lips
in this quiet desperationto sew the glass back together again.
