Chapter Twenty-Two

The week I have been waiting for has finally came. Today Lars and I are going on a date. Well I think it's a date. It's been months, maybe 6 months. Six months I have been waiting for this day. And it has finally came.

"Cara come on. We have to pick out something for you to wear. But it can't be to fancy cause it's just coffee and it can't be to casual because its coffee." Alice said in her fast high pitched voice she only had when she was excited for something or someone.

"Alice calm down how about I wear a black top with jean shorts?" I asked pulling Alice away from my closet and stepping my to grab what I was looking for.

"You know what that doesn't sound that bad. Good job, Cara. I have taught you well young one." Alice said turning around and closing her eyes so I could get changed.

"Alice I have been dressing myself for years. And I'm actually one month older than you, so you are the young one here." I explained to Alice while she had a pout on her lips.

"You know what I'm glad your dad came to his senses and kick that whore Courtney out. Did you and him make up? Or is it still awkward?" Alice asked playing with my hair as we were lying down on my bed waiting for Lars.

I smiled thinking back to the day my father came to Alice's house and promised that I would never see her again in my life.

"Um, it's not awkward. And we did make up. Dude he even felt bad enough to let me play my drums for the whole day. You know he usually only lets me play a little then he makes me stop then I can start again." I explained to Alice with a smile on my face.

Before Alice could even get word out we heard a knock on my front door. We looked at each other and shot out of the bed and ran down the stairs.

Alice pulled open the door and stood there was Lars wearing a jean jacket and black shirt and plain jeans. He looks really good.

"Umm, h-hey Cara y-you ready to go?" Lars asked me stuttering.

"Yeah I'm ready." I got out fast walking to his car.

Lars went on my side to open the door but I called him an idiot and shook my head.

Before Lars got into his side of the car I heard Alice yell to us,"Use protection."

"She's a fucking idiot." I laughed while Lars was backing out of my driveway.

"Okay off to coffee." Lars yelled out his opened window getting more confident knowing that I wanted this just as much as he does. Maybe.

At the coffee shop

(No I did not explain the drive there. What did you want me to write they drove down this street turned a left and they listened to some music. No)

We got out of the car when we pulled into the coffee shop, obviously.

"For here or to go?" The lady behind the counter said. I don't remember what their job is called. Baristas? Coffeistas? I don't know.

"To go." Lars said and I looked at him like he was crazy. I thought we were drinking it here.

Lars looked down at me and smiled at me. He has such a lovely smile. Jesus fuck he's driving me insane.

"What would you like to have want?" The girl behind the counter asked, smiling.

"Oh, just a coffee with creamer." I told the lady getting out the money I need to pay.

"No, no I'm paying. I would like to have what she's getting also." Lars said pulling my hand away from my pocket making me shiver. How does he have this affect on me.

Lars handed the money to the girl and she handed the change back and went away to get the coffee we ordered.

Lars and I stood in a silence that wasn't awkward. It was quite nice. Just enjoying one an other's presence.

"Here's you're coffees. And by the way you two are so cute together." She said handing the coffees over to us.

"Um we aren't dating." I said with a blush wishing that it wasn't true. I wish we would date.

"Oh really? That's a bummer." She said with a small pout.

Lars stepped around and went and whispered into her ear. A smile appeared on her face. She looked at me and said "Have a nice day," then walked back to the register and helped the next costumer.

I looked at Lars question ally, what did he say to her?

Lars started for the coffee shop door and walked out me following not far behind.

"Where are we going? I thought we were gonna drink the coffee here?" I asked Lars as he stepped into the car.

"I'm not telling you it's a surprise." Lars said with a smirk on his lips as he drove out of the coffee shop parking lot.

"Okay." I said reaching forward to turn the radio on.

Slayer started blasting through the car speakers, I was afraid the speakers were going to break but I didn't care I was too busy banging my head to the music.

"Hey why did you turn the music off?" I asked Lars we the car went dead silent the only sound to be heard was sound of wind blowing through the trees.

"We're here." Lars said getting out the car and coming onto my side and opening the door.

When I got out of the car I took a look around. We are at a park. There are trees surrounding the place and a waterfall not to far away.

"Come. Follow me." Lars said as he took my hand and lead me to a place in the middle of a grass field that was an opening. (Think about the grass field from Twilight.)

When we got to the middle of the field we lied down, and looked up at the sun drinking the coffee.

After maybe 30 minutes of me and Lars talking about nothing he got up and looked at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked his face was looking pale like he was going to be sick.

"I have to ask you a question." He said with a shaky voice.

"What is it?" I asked getting worried.

"Um will you be my girlfriend?"
