I sat in the passenger seat with my arms crossed and a scowl on my face. 5 more minutes and I can be in the comfort of my house. I was watching the car clock as each minute went by. Slowly may I add.

"Ya know, if you keep scowling like that ur gorgeous face might get stuck like that!" Dylan chirped. I rolled my eyes and shifted my body to face the window.

"Is it safe to speak n-" Carter began but I interrupted him,"Shut the hell up before I turn around and slap u so hard your great great grandchildren will feel it!" He quickly nodded and Dylan burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes.

"Damn. Must be someone's time of the month." Carter muttered. I whipped around in my seat and slapped him across the face.

"Don't you dare ever say that again! Or so help me I will rip off your legs and beat you with the bloody stumps!" I said through gritted teeth, as he rubbed his bright red cheek.

"Hey. No child abuse." He muttered under his breath.
"Actually in this case it would be animal abuse." I retorted before facing the window again. "Can I invite Jade I am really outnumbered right now!" I huffed, so done with these two. Dylan nodded, biting on his fist, preventing himself from laughing.

I pulled out my phone and slid open the lock screen, entering my password. I clicked on Jade's contact and hit the call button. The whole car was silent as it rang. "Hello," She answered the phone.

"Hey, my idiot guy bff ,who recently moved back invited that fugly, annoying person to play video games. Much to my annoyance. Could you come over? Please?" I begged.

"So basically, you want me to come over so you don't have to deal with Carter and be outnumbered by boys?" She asked even though she knew she was right. I nodded then realized she couldn't see me.

"Exactly!" I said glad someone was finally understanding me.

"Be right there." She answered. I let out a sigh of relief and hung up.

Minutes later we pulled into the driveway. The whole way the only sound in the car was Dylan's cringeworthy singing and the occasional buzz from Carter getting a text. I flung the car door open, throwing my bag on my shoulder and trudging up the stairs to my front door. I opened the door with a sigh. "Grammy! I'm home!" I shouted. Dylan followed in after me and my grandma kissed us both on the cheek.

"Hi honey!" She smiled sweetly. "Oh my, Dylan, you have become quite the hunk." He grinned ear to ear.

"Hey Grammy! I know right!" He flexed his arms and I rolled my eyes walking away.

"And who is this gorgeous young man?" Damn I forgot about Carter. Well, it was nice while it lasted.

"Grammy, this is Carter. Julia's new friend." Dylan grinned.

"Oh Grammy! I'm having Jade over too." I added quickly before getting started on my homework.

" Okay sweetie! I'm going to pick Sammy up from school now. He is having Lily over." I grinned as my grandma left. Dang I love that woman. The door bell rang and I opened the door for Jade to enter my huge house. My parents left A LOT of money. Although them being here would be better than a huge house. But you can't always get what you want! I stopped in my tracks and played the song on my phone as loud as possible.

"Are we gonna play or just watch her do homework?" Carter questioned, sitting on a couch with his legs crossed, resting his cheek on his hand. Dylan had his feet propped up on the coffee table, leaning back on the couch with is arms behind his head, folding his hands. They both stared at me in pure boredom. Jade sat next to me at the dining room table doing her homework as well.
