Secrets of the Temple

The ebony walls were inlaid with jet black markings, lit menacingly by an eerie blood-red glow from a high-placed torch, shining unnaturally and illuminating elegant yet deadly arches far above where Ahsoka stood, the Daughter's radiance all but a flicker in the scarlet light.

Ahead of her stretched a corridor, descending into shadows little more than five feet away, its secrets a mystery more curious than that of what was happening to her. As she walked rather slowly down the dark hallway, Ahsoka was increasingly aware of the powerful sapphire runes on her hands pulsing and urging her to go forward, the Daughter silent but watchful, until the dim light changed and Ahsoka put her hands out... only to find a door.

At her touch, the mysterious Sith script she had seen on the surface- which, she realised with a pang of despair, she may never see again-lit up not red, but sapphire blue, the exact colour of her eyes and now her hands. Tracing her fingers through the markings in a trance, the Force guiding her to what they meant, she spoke.

"Taral en woyunok. Ry nuyak midwan ses gretaya saarai."

"Protector and Young One. By my power you gain truth." translated the Daughter calmly.

An almighty shudder ran through the building as it prepared to reveal its most deadly secret. With an almighty noise, the enormous stone door ground down, into the cold, unforgiving rocks below, revealing at last its treasure.

It was quite a small room, all things considered, its walls made of a ruby red stone that shimmered in the darkness, and in the centre laid a phrik alloy pedestal, on which was inscribed 'Zhol kash dinora.'

On the pedestal was a beautifully inlaid bronze disc, shining with the heat of a burning flame. It was small, just bigger than her hand, and it floated free above its platform. Carved into it were three creatures she couldn't recognise but knew she'd seen before. Heart thrumming in harmony with the Force, she reached out and she hesitantly touched the disc.

Extreme pain lanced through her, and the Daughter's absence was the last thing she noticed before everything went black.

*Ooooh, mysterious stuff! I actually used the Sith language for this (and made up one or two words myself, but nobody's perfect) but besides, 130 views and 10 votes!!! It sounds so small, but considering I've only put three parts up it's MASSIVE. Thank you guys so, so much- this sounds cliché but you don't know just how much this means to me. Also, if you were interested, the form of this book is basically going to be flashback-story-flashback-story through more or less the first three books. The fourth... Well, I'll let you find that out yourself.*
