Safety

My safety
The things that keeps me alive
The things that scares the monsters away
A ring, a teddy bear and a bracelet

A teddy bear I've had for most of my life
The most ironic name possible
The thing that's constantly been there
Through thick and thin
Through tears and tantrums
The most trustworthy confidant in the world
Because it can tell your emotions and feelings to anyone

A bracelet I've had for 3 months
In honour of a family member no longer alive
A piece of elastic and a metal oval with an engraving on
That helps me keep grounded
Calms me down and helps me clear my mind
Reminds me to keep my head held high for them

A platinum ring my family never bought
My father found it in his garden
Gave it to me to look after
To treasure it
My lucky charm
Where I go nowhere without
To keep me from breaking down

My safety may be differs to yours but it doesn't mean it's any less important
