Standing on the ruins of blood and hate
We promise to respect each others fateBecause we are free to live and love
We are free in faith and cultures
We are free to scrutinise the might above
We are free to see through structuresStanding on our new world as one mankind
We let envy, grudge and hate behind
Freedom shall be our way
Free to life and let life any wayIt penetrated the fog of conciousness, penetrated the pain, penetrated his numbness, it came to him like a warming blanket. This voice. It was the voice of a young girl singing the World Hymn. He raised on his elbow. The floor was hard and cold and covered with blood. His blood.
„Your lawyer is here." A guard opened the door.
„Lawyer?", astonished Radjid turned to the man, who stepped into the prison-cell. It was Rasmus.
„Good morning, Mr. Hoffmann, Sir." Rasmus hesitated. „What happened to your face?", he asked shocked, turning to the guard. „This will have consequences."
„No, no, this was my work. It's allright." Radjid said placating.
With great eyes Rasmus came nearer. „Why?"
„Ralf."
Rasmus nodded. He understood.
„Your trial starts tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Bagdad Courthouse. I'm your court-appointed counsel, Phil Masters."
„Pleased to meet you Mr. Masters. I'd never expected to get the right to defend my civil disobedience."
„We life in a free world Mr. Hoffmann, everybody has the right to be defended even the meanest of us." He smiled, reached in his jacket and showed Radjid his business card.
Get you out at 3 a.m.. Rigsby is one cell beneath you. PaMaTwo works fine. Patience. Wait for my sign.
„Thanks a lot, Mr. Masters." Radjid smiled.
„Don't thank to early. Since 267 EDE civil disobedience can lead to execution because it could lead to harm. 267 EDE says that everbody who harms anybody in physical or psychological way shall die. But our chances are good."
„Who's this girl singing our Hymn all day?" Radjid asked, almost knowing the answer.
„It's this Rigsby Bruster you wanted to save."
„So she isn't executed yet?" Radjid asked himself why.
„Her execution is appointed for tomorrow 11:15 a.m." Rasmus told him. Radjid swallowed and nodded.
---
„Sarah?" PaMaTwo, or Pace as he called himself, had searched a long time. That was very unsusual, because it seemed to him she wanted to hide. Time was running out. He had to find her or Rasmus' plan would fail. „Sarah, where are you? It's me, Pace."
„I'm here. What do you want? Who are you? Did she send you?"
„She?"
„The President. Did she send you to kill me?"
„Oh no. I'm here to find you. Why do you hide?"
„If she finds me, she will kill me. I'm more, than she ever wanted." Can I trust him?
„Oh, yes, I know this problem. My father was one of that kind. He killed the old world order."
„Your father was Pac-Man? The Destroyer? The Supergau-Virus?"
