Calling All Angels

Chapter 11: Betrayal?

The gun went off, the arrow flew through the air. Two more gunshots were heard and one more arrow flew.

Braylon easily took out Jinx and Jade in one shot while Carter's arrow took out Trevor and Ray. The bullet grazed Jade's shoulder and hit Jinx's leg, the radioactive liquid on it didn't kill them, it just knocked them out. The arrow grazed Ray's leg and stuck into Trevor, causing them to be knocked out.

The other two bullets were shot at Haven and Ashley then Easton and Damien. The last arrow was directed at Logan, all of them were hit and fell to the floor. Wesley didn't need to be shot because of the stunning spell that Logan casted on him.

Carter and Braylon then called their gang, telling them that they had a huge load that needed to be picked up, within a half an hour, the Black Cobra Resistance showed up, this particular clan was made up of all humans who were trained to take out the supernatural. They were formed just recently, to be exact, ten years ago, noting all of their encounters of the supernatural. Liam Matthew, at age 19, witnessed a vampire gradually sucking the life of a human and a werewolf shifting at dusk. After this, Liam decided to make a gang of highly trained humans to take out these supernatural beings. After time, the gang expanded, earning many more members and even more experience. Granted, many people only join the gang for the large amount of cash they receive after every supernatural they took down. Although, this gang does not kill the supernatural, they take them back to a facility where they are tested and used for experiments.

Liam Matthew, now at age 29, stepped out of one of the large, black vans. Wearing a black hoodie that stood out from the rest of the people in the gang who wore white. The top of his hood was larger than needed so it covered half of his face. He was a broad man and a tall one too. He walked over to Braylon and Carter, who stood up straighter at the sight of their boss.

"Carter, Braylon," He paused, his deep voice echoing throughout the forest, as he nodded towards the two boys, "Good work, my boys. I don't know how you did it but you surely got the most so far, here are your earnings." Liam took out two large bags from his hoodie then handed one to each of the boys. Carter and Braylon only nodded then walked away, helping the other members put the bodies into large cages then into the vans. Two hours had passed, the Black Cobra Resistance were still on their way to the facility.

The one thing that the Black Cobra Resistance didn't know was that the alphas of each gang were more powerful and the radioactive liquid didn't last as long on them. So it was no surprise for Jade to wake up as the members of the gang were sleeping.

"What the fuck?" Jade rubbed her left shoulder with her right hand, feeling the obvious burn from it. She looked around, her surroundings were just a metal cage and men sleeping in white hoods. She rubbed her head with her left hand. In her cage with her was none other than Jinx. Great, she thought. Immediately, Jade looked around, trying to find any escape route for her. Minutes later, she heard low mumbles, scared that the men around her would wake up, she covered Jinx's mouth and quietly told her to be quiet. Jinx's eyes shot open at the sound of Jade's voice and looked around in alert.

Jinx calmed down when she saw Jade's obvious alertness. "What do we do?" Jinx whispered quietly. Jade just shook her head then noticed one of the men had a pair of keys hanging from his pockets. Jade smirked then made her way over to the man, slipping her hand through the bars and reaching. Thankfully, the men weren't that far away from the cage because of the small confinement of the van. Jade easily slipped the key from the loop and walked to the entrance of the cage. Jinx followed her quietly. Jade, being as quiet as she could, slipped the key into the keyhole and twisted it. The cage door unlocked and Jade pushed it open, causing a fairly loud creak to escape from it. Jade looked around at all of the men, surprising no one woke up.
