The door in front of me opens and the guards push me in. I have no other choice than to leave Shawn behind. I can't get his fcae out of my head, all broken and bruised with bloody scrapes, such as me, ruined. The two guards take off my handcuffs living me alone and closing the wooden door behind me. I lift my head and found myself inside a huge room made of marmol and diamond columns, details in gold, a huge chandelier in the ceiling, red carpet floor, and walls made of glass making the room be filled with natural brightness. At the end of the room 3 chairs, made of red fabric, display on the polished marmol altar. The two chairs on the sides had 2 beautiful young ladies, with diamond crowns and long delicate dresses, and on the middle, a black haired man, with an ocean blue cape and a crown... I walk towards them slowly, naive. I stop a few steps away. "Excuse me, where am I?".
"Welcome to the Royal Castle of Blakewood". One of the girls answer, with long, light, yellow (almost white) hair, tall and thin, with thick and long eyelashes, perfect eyebrows and charming smile, she must be around twenty "I'm Willow, queen of summer".
"I'm North, queen of winter." The other girls says, she looks younger, about my age, with blue greenish dazzling eyes, silver-white-purple hair... Wait. She was king Elvis's daughter, the princess, the girl I always saw in diamond dresses, gorgeous hair styles, and that I always dreamed to be. It's her. And Willow must be her big sister, king Elvis's older daughter. I have her in front of me, both princesses that have become queens, and that I always dreamed of being. But that man, that king... Is not Elvis, it's not their father. The man stands up, and I bend to show my respectful gesture. "I'm King Macious, king of Blakewood".
Macious. The man who killed my mom, the man that rules the trackers, the man who ruined my life. "I've heard, your whole story." he says.
"Who told you about it?" I frown at him, making him notice my disgrace towards him. I want him to know how much I hate him, and that my life is none of his business.
"Shawn, your life company. Am I right?"
I shake my head yes and lower my head to avoid seeing him straight to his face. What else does he want?
"My son."
I lift my head immediately. "That's not true."
"He will be named prince of Blakewood tomorrow, and will be assigned the king of fall."
"What about me? You can't tear us appart..."
"You won't" Queen North answers. "Along with Shawn, you'll be named princess of Blakewood; queen of spring."
I hear the thick wooden door open behind me. I turn around, and through the small opening Shawn comes in, no guards, no weapons, just us. A smile sharps my face, what a relieve he's ok. I immediately make my run towards him and jump over him as he wraps his arms around me. I hug him tight enough, both in sweaty dirty military jail cloth, but who cares, we're together.
"Are you ok???" he asks.
"I am, are you?"
"Yeah, I'm ok."
He lets the hug go and looks staright into my eyes.
"There will be a ball held for you guys tomorrow after coronation. You may wait outside while we finish our talk. Then, you will be taking a shower and get dressed into clean cloth. Afterwards we will give you a small tour around the castle and your very own rooms. It's so big you might not remember the whole tour until you get used to it, but we need to start out somewhere." Queen Willow says ordering guards to open up the door.
Me and Shawn head to the door, and when I'm about to leave, Queen North stops me. "Grace." I turn around. "I'm sorry for your loss, we'll send some trackers to search your father and your brother."
"It's ok, don't waste your time. Thanks anyway." I smile and keep heading my way out. We both get out the room, and stand on the hallway as the door closes behind us.
Shawn stairs at me, and when he is about to kiss me, I stop him. "You never told me..."
"Told you what?"
"Your dad was king Macious..."
"Look, I'm sorry."
"You knew how much I hated that man..."
"I know, I know, but please... You don't have any idea how much I begged them to let you stay, and become you MY princess, and that's all I asked them, and now that we are together I don't want anything to stand in our way. They where going to kill you Grace, as a punishment towards your attitude against the trackers. This hasn't been any easy for me... Ok? It's my dad, and he never came back for me after this 13 years, and you have no idea the tension between us and my anger towards him."
Still doesn't change a way on what I feel, I hate that man. I don't say anything.
"Come on! We were two jungle kids on the middle of nowhere, now look at us! In the Royal Castle of Blakewood, about to become future rulers of Blakewood..." He takes a step closer and lifts up my face grabbing my chin. "Grace, a prince can't be a prince without the strength of his princess..."
He makes me smiles, and kisses me. I let the kiss go. "So what do you think about the ball being held for us?" I ask him.
"Can we just start by saying how weird it is to become Blakewood's prince and princess?"
"What even is this "queen of spring" and "king of fall" thing ?" I say as we both laugh. After a good laugh a silence fills the hallway. "Things are going to change a lot, Grace..."
"I know, but doesn't mean we have... Right?"
"Hope so..." He lets a sigh out.
Both queen Willow and North, along with king Macious came out and me and Shawn separate ourselves.
"Time to get that dirty cloth off." North says grabbing my hand and leading me with her, along with Willow.
"And it's time for us to talk". Macious says calling Shawn in.
I turn around and we both make I contact. "Good luck". I whisper.
