Shawn looks at me, straight in the eyes, waiting me to say something. I cut off the eye contact, and look at Willow, she looks at me, she knows what I'm feeling. West doesn't say anything, and before he does, I look down taking the cloth napkin off my thighs, leaving it on the chair, and standing up from the table. "Excuse me. Um, I need to, I-" my voice breaks and I just walk away taking a passage that I don't even remember taking before, my heartbeats bumped so fast, I was shaking. "I'll make you my queen..." Shawn words replayed in my head, and now, just look.
I kept walking through the new undiscovered dark hallway, and paintings of past kings start to display on the wall, from oldest to newest, until I reach Shawn. A huge painting covering almost the entire wall, the painting of him sitting over the throne, dressed in black, and a blue navy cape falling down. I stare at him, into his eyes, wondering how much more pain will he make me go through.
Someone appears at the end of the hallway, it's shade reflecting throughout the dark hallway. North or Shawn, i thought. I turn my head, and see Willow. Standing right there, staring into my eyes. A tear rolls down my cheek. She sees the painting I'm staring at and then back at me. She immediately starts running towards me, and in seconds I was wrapped on her arms. I start crying desperately.
"IT HURTS SO MUCH! IT HURTS SO MUCH! IT HURTS!" I couldn't even talk, she hugged me harder and I cried harder, never in my life I've cried so much; never in my life I had suffered so much. We both fall down to the ground, I sit over Willows dress, as she pulls my head towards her chest and caresses my hair. "There, there... Shhh."
I pull away for a moment, staring into her eyes. "Please, just please, don't leave me..."
"I won't, I'm right here." she pulls me back towards her, hugging me. Trying to calm me down. My gasps and cries echoed through the dark empty hallway, but it didn't seemed too empty and lonely with Willow by my side. I felt so gross, my face so sticky, my nose so red and my eyes so tired.
"I knew this from a very long time ago." she says rubbing her hand through my back.
"What?"
"My sister. Her threatens towards you. Macious death. I always knew it..." she says feeling sorry for me.
"Why didn't you say anything?" I back off.
"Because she also threatened me if I ever said something... I saw much more than what you think, from the moment she gave you that blue potion, to the last time she talked to you at the meeting room."
"You. You were that shadow..." I hug her back, I didn't wanted to leave her. It felt like the hugs my mommy gave me every time I cried at night when my dad was sent to the army when I was a baby.
After long hours of crying so much and telling Willow everything, even though she already knew, she proposes to take me to my room. I felt so weak I could barely walk, my legs shaked every time I took a step, but Willow wrapped her arms around me, making sure I didn't stumbled.
When I reached my room, North comes out of her room at the end of the long hallway kissing Shawn as she wraps her legs around his torso and takes his shirt off. Across the hallway, she kicks Shawn's room door, getting inside still kissing him, and Shawn shuts the door turning off the lights behind him.
We both saw the same, we both know the same. "This can't get any worse..." Another tear drops out.
"No. You'll be staying at my place, tonight." She closes my room's door and takes me to hers.
After all, Willow, the quiet girl who never spoke to me, that I even though for once she was crazy, has now become in... my sister.
****************
I knock on West's meeting room the next morning. Before he stands up from his desk to open the door, I open up first, and walk towards his desk. "No matter what your answer towards their marriage was, I'm asking for my royal retirement." I take of my crown and throw it over his desk.
