Chapter 30

I still stare at the pointy knife, trying to realise what she is trying to do with it. I was going to let it pass, I'm not supposed to get into their relationship at this point, but she starts to open a whole in the back part of Shawn's jacket and by now, he has no idea about what's happening. I need to warn him. I start to walk to the nearest stares at the end of the upper hallway, and take the spiral stares that immediately take me down to the garden.

Like a fox trying to hunt it's pray, I try hiding myself behind other rocks and try to avoid getting noticed. I crawl from rock to rock, until I reach their's. Like a crawled ball I hide at the other side of it. I shaked, and felt so sweaty, if I felt pissed by getting followed by Shawn, imagine what he will think if he finds out what I'm doing.

I need to stop this, he still has no idea, until I hear his thick voice roar. I stand up, suddenly appearing behind North as she starts to cut Shawn's skin, and the first thing that comes to my mind is Shawn's knife hanging down his belt. I take it off, and Shawn falls back over the grass complaining, as soon as North sees me, she separates the knife from him and heads it my way. I try to stab her right in the hips, but she pushes me back, I fall back over the grass and start to crawl away. "I NEED TO KILL HIM! I'M THE QUEEN OF BLAKEWOOD!" that's all she screams, her eyes like a snake, greener than ever, and her veins marked over her pale hands as she grabs the knife lowering it towards my body.

Adrenaline made fear fade, I kicked her as she falls over her elbows, and we are both on the ground now, fighting to see who gets stabbed first. She grabs both of my hands keeping them down. "Let me kill him, that's all I'm asking you..."

"Never, bitch!" I punch my fore head towards her, she falls back, letting my hands free, she got dizzy for a moment and I stand up running to check on Shawn before her dizziness fades. I didn't ran fast enough, she stops me when she grabs my arm and turns me around, that's when her knife stabs me just between my shoulder and my breast, I scream, I cried, yes I did, but I didn't give up. I let Shawn's knife fall to the ground and with all the energy and strength I had left, I pushed her towards a rock. She falls and her head hits just in the pointy edge, making her skin look paler than it was, her eyes slowly closed, and her heart stopped. I stood there, paralysed, I killed her. It's all over, she's gone now.

"Grace!" Shawn says carefully standing up on his feet with a bloody shirt aching, he runs my way with a small pain on his back, but when I look back at him, my eyes roll back, and I fall to the ground, it was starting to get hard getting my oxygen back and made me dizzy, besides I still I had the knife hooked just between my shoulder and breast. As soon as Shawn reaches me, he leans over the ground grabbing me like a cradle, sliding a hand under my knees and the other on my back, and bringing me close to his chest as I rest my head over it, just like a baby. I felt as if I couldn't breath, everything seemed slightly blurry, and my skin was shivering, it was so hard.

Shawn looks down at me, at his arms, a tear rolls down my cheek, "I killed her..." I whispered. Shawn starts crying. "It's ok.." he whispers back combing my hair behind my ears. "I love you so much..." He starts crying harder. "And I couldn't say it because if I did... This would happen! I loved you all this time, I never stopped Grace, I will never stop. I made you go through all that pain because I was protecting you. I acted as if it didn't matter, but it did, watching you suffer the way you did was the reason I cried every night and never stopped watching on you. I NEVER CHEATED ON YOU! North threatened me, she told me that if I didn't marry her she would kill you-" his voice braked. "Please forgive me..." he says placing his hand over my cheeks, cleaning the only tear that rolled down my face.

It was hard to think, my lungs where out of oxygen by this point, but i made my biggest effort to talk back. "Shawn I forgive you..." I say in a soar voice cleaning his tears off from his cheeks with my cold pale hand and my eyebrows frowning in a sad way. "I love you, and will always do. You're the reason I killed your father. We were both threatened in the same way." I place my hand back over his hand at my cheek. "I love you-" I couldn't anymore. I couldn't breath, couldn't talk, couldn't see, couldn't move. All I could feel was Shawn screaming desperate for help, and then his cold lips pressing mine, and slowly all my senses faded... I was gone.
