I rushed up through some crystal stairs that leaded up to a hallway that surrounded all the area where the wedding was going to take place. I rather watch it here hiding behind this marble columns where no one can see me, where there's not even enough light it won't let anybody notice I'm here. The reflection of the light through the colourful stained glass guided me here somehow, this cathedral is so huge and confusing that makes everything seem like a maze, by now, I don't know how I'll be able to go back down there.
I watch as North gets to the altar grabbing Shawn's hands as he helps her up, and they both grab their hands staring at each other with a charming smile. It feels like a dream, it's so unreal, what did I make to deserve this? Is it even real?
As the pope asks for everybody to rise, I feel the sound of three steps behind me.
"I think I arrived just in time." My heart stops. It's that familiar voice. It's Tommy.
I turn around in tears, and run to find my self wrapped in his arms. "W-what are you doing here? What is this?" I was so confused. I couldn't really process what was happening. If it was real or not.
He warps his huge arms around my back.
"It's me, Grace. It's me. I never died. I got executed from Blakewood by Queen North, and besides, I'm in a really serious treatment on Iceland for my recuperation. I came after hearing about everything that has been happening here lately, and I knew you'd need a hug at this moment".
"Thank you." I whisper. "You have no idea what I'm going through, I needed you right now more than anything."
"I know baby sister, I know..." I let the hug go, and Tommy approaches to the edge of the floor looking downstairs at the thousands of people sitting back over the lined benches. I take a glimpse over him, he has a little cable running down from his chest to a little bag sticked under his white shirt. "If only I could strangle him..." he says turning back at me.
"Don't..."
He raises his eyebrows. "He has turned you into... this! So broke and weak!"
"Tom." I take a step forward. "I love-" I stop myself. "I hate him. But don't harm him. Please."
He doesn't say anything "Never mind!... What matters, is that we are back together forever! Right?"
"Not forever, Grace..." He slides his arms over his pockets aching. "I've got to leave back to Iceland on the next ship departure. I can't let North catch me".
"NO YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME!"
"I'm sorry. But I'll come back soon, I promise."
"NO! I can talk with West! He can give you a charge, a big charge, maybe... his assistant?! Please don't leave! Please... We have a huge hospital at the castle, if it's because of it." I cry. "Don't make things worst..."
"I'm sorry." he kisses my forehead, turning around and walking away through the large hallways, with the colourful shades reflecting over his body and as he fades and slowly leaves, I turn back over the edge.
"North, do you, queen of Winter, accept Shawn, king of fall and Blakewood as your husband?" the pope says grabbing both of their hands and uniting them.
She takes a while to answer, she takes a look over the crowd, probably looking for me, ready to give me one of her evil smiles. "Yes." she smiles looking back at Shawn as they both kiss each other over the altar and everybody raises from their seat clapping their hands. I want to throw up over everybody down there, as they both leave the cathedral through the hallway and down to the door, everybody follows them out. Willow stands up from her seat looking around for me, she looks up and on the edge of the upper floor she catches me. She moves her hand calling me down, and I walk back down the stairs towards her. As soon as she sees me walking towards her through the hallway she stretches her hand towards me and I grab it, she fixes my hair sliding it behind my ear wit her fingers, cleans my tears and then she hugs me with her cold arms.
"I think I saw my brother..." I say laying my head over her shoulder as tears run down. "How is that possible...?"
"Don't ask me..." I let the hug go, and between us, the pope stands with a white piece of cloth hanging down his hands.
By now, the cathedral was all empty, everybody was outside congratulating the just married couple, and only the three of us stood near the altar. The old pope cleans my tears with the white piece of cloth and grabs my cheek. "Why the tears, kid?"
"I've lost everything."
"Nope." he brushes my hair with his hands. "You haven't lost everything, not until you loose hope, and even if you do, you still have what's inside here." He says pointing my chest, referring to my heart.
"And what am I supposed to do now?" I ask as tears keep falling.
"Don't loose hope, kid. Don't loose hope." with his middle and index finger he makes a cross over my forehead, and then gives me a kiss over it. "You have so much more to give than tears..." he grabs my head, and I manage to give him a smile.
"Grace..." Shawn's voice echoes through the empty cathedral. The pope lets my head go and I turn back at him.
