"How long do you have before the concert tonight?"

"Well it's only eleven right now and the show is at seven thirty, and I've got to be back at least an hour before for rehearsals. So I'd say about eight."

"Perfect! You want to go do something fun?" My mind was already thinking of all the things here in town we could do.

"Of course, but we only have eight hours." He looked quizzingly at me.

"I only need seven." His confused state made me giggle as I stood up, reached out my hand and waited for him to take it.

"Alright let's go on an adventure then." He to stood and took my hand.

Let the adventure begin. I called an Uber that arrived within ten minutes. We climbed inside the car, still holding hands, while I told the person where to take us. Calum stayed silent the whole ride just peering at the city passing by us. Our hands never left one another's as they rested on the seat between us.

Soon the car stopped outside of the Kansas City Zoo. It was on my list of things to do while I was in town, so why not do it with Calum. I paid the Uber, then we got out of the car.

"The zoo?" His brown eyes peered down at me as I smiled.

"Yup." I tugged his hand along to the ticket booth.

"But this could take hours. When the boys and I go to the zoo we end up there all day."

"Trust me. This is only a quarter of what I have planned for us to do; this'll take three hours max." Because I knew it would.

I've got this whole thing planned out. We speed walked around the zoo. Only taking our time at the animals we both fancied. My favorite part of the zoo was the Australian part. For my journey hasn't led me to the actual Australia yet, but it was on my bucket list of places.

"I want to visit Australia so bad! And go to Murramarang National Park to see wild kangaroos." Kangaroos are my favorite animal which is why any zoo I go to, the kangaroos are always where I spend the most time.

"Don't worry, I'll take you there some day." Calum whispered into my ear sending shivers down my spine.

"How can you be so sure? We only met a little bit ago." My eyes looked up at him to meet his.

"Something just tells me it will happen." And I believed that too.

Once we were finished at the zoo I checked my phone. It had only taken two and a half hours. There was more time on my hands than I thought.

"Where to next?" He questioned sat down in the Uber next to me.

"You'll see." A devilish grin reaching my face.

His eyes widened as he saw the amusement park in front of us. I couldn't tell if it was from excitement or fear. All I knew was either way he was getting on those rides with me.

"Worlds of Fun is a must when touring. Have fun you two!" Our Uber told us when exiting the car.

"How long will this take us?"

"Not that long, I know how to time everything don't worry." And once again I was dragging him along.

The whole time I still couldn't decipher if he was scared or not. Maybe he was just putting on a face so I wouldn't see how scared he truly was. One the bigs rides I was laughing while he was screaming and holding onto my hand for dear life.

On the smaller rides that didn't really take you off the ground it was the same way. Except he was able to put on a more subtle face and not scream. It was cute glancing over at him to see his whole face ranging in emotions.

By the time we left it was another two and a half hours. I only had one place left for us to go. We waited for another Uber while holding hands still. I'm not sure why we've been holding hands these past few hours but I like it, even if I did just meet him.

He anxiously awaited our next destination finally excepting that like the other two, it would be just as fun. The Uber stopped outside our last stop so we got out and made our way inside.

"Wine tasting?" He seemed utterly confused as he looked around the building.

"Yeah. Don't worry if you just pace yourself and keep the tasting to a minimum you won't get drunk." I've gone wine tasting plenty of times before so I knew when enough was enough for me.

"I trust you, so let's do this." This time he was the one dragging a laughing me behind him.

We were seated out in a secluded area. A bunch of glasses were set on the table. One waiter dude brought over a type of wine, told us it's name, poured some in a glass for each of us, then gave us some privacy.

"So Calum, how's the tour life?" I asked and brought the glass to my lips.

"Fun. It can get exhausting at times, but the boys and I always make the most of it." He was always mentioning the boys yet I never knew who he was talking about.

"You keep saying the boys what are they're names and what do they do in the band?" A smile approached his face at this question.

"Well there's Luke. He's the youngest and is lead singer and also plays the guitar. Ashton who is the oldest plays the drums and sings. And Michael who's older than me but younger than Ashton. He also plays the guitar and sings." The whole time his eyes sparkled as he talked about his band mates.

"You guys must be really close." I smiled weakly and spoke softly.

"We are, they're all my brothers. What about you? Family? Friends?" It felt like I was struck in the chest because I could hardly breath now.

I hated talking with people about that topic. It's hard for me to talk about the people who are no longer in my life. The ones that left me behind, completely cutting me from them.

"Um, I don't really have friends or even family." I set my glass down but kept my hand on it staring at the wine.

"Oh. I'm sorry Mady." I could tell he felt bad for asking but it was okay.

"No it's fine really." The waiter came back with a new kind of wine then left again after giving us some.

After about an hour of talking about random things in our lives we decided to leave. I told him more about me than anyone else will ever know. He let me in on things he's never told anyone else, and told me little details of his life. It felt great to finally have someone who I could talk to who would actually listen.

"Do you want to watch the show tonight?" He asked on our way to the venue.

"Sure." I smiled a genuine smile.

"The boys are going to love you. Just be cautious of Luke's girlfriend. I mean she can be nice but she mostly just hangs on Luke and gets angered by anyone who comes in between that."

"Alright, note taken." We sat silent the rest of the ride.

Today has been fun. Hopefully he won't leave like everyone does.
