Chapter 17

Nagisa groaned as his head lifted from his pillow. Karma had already left the bed and he was starting to feel cold. The small boy sighed and grabbed some clothes before heading to the shower.

His big injuries had vanished a few days back since he wasn't being tortured everyday. Only small cuts and scares had damaged his body, but they weren't anything out of the ordinary.

Nagisa was glad he went to Karma for help. Although the guy was a completely psychopath, he happened to have a sweet spot for him. And once he found his father, everything would go back to normal.

Nagisa was overjoyed to be reunited with his father, but the frown on his lips said otherwise. He was sad to leave Karma. He had grown a liking to him and his hospitality, but once he left with his dad, Karma wouldn't have to worry about him anymore. It was for their own good.

The blunette climbed out of the shower, drying and putting on his clothes with zero effort. He tied his hair back with two ponytails and trotted into the kitchen.

Karma was eating cereal and briefly glancing over a newspaper. "Nothing special today?" Nagisa joked half-heartedly.

"I'm feeling lazy," he replied back.

Nagisa got himself a bowl. "I figured you were getting tired of feeding both of us. I'll clean the dishes."

"It's not that I mind. I can do the dishes. You've been doing them a lot lately," Karma said, his head poking out from the paper.

Nagisa smiled and shook his head. "Think of it as a way of repaying you for taking me in. Sorry for causing you all this trouble, Karma."

Karma's eyes widened. A thank you and an apology? No one ever did that. And he said it so kindly. Karma couldn't figure out this blue headed boy. He was easy to read, but in a way he also wasn't. He was so interesting, and Karma couldn't help but be attracted to that.

Karma blushed and hid behind the newspaper when he realized he was staring. Get it together, Akabane!

Nagisa cleared his throat. "So, what are we doing today?"

"I don't know," Karma said quietly.

"Hah?! You won't let me go to school and you haven't even planned out anything yet?!"

Karma sighed. "How about we do what you wanna do?"

Nagisa froze. "What... I want to do...?"

The red head nodded eagerly. "Yeah, yeah! What you wanna do! So Nagisa, what cha' wanna do today?"

Nagisa bowed his head. "I'm sorry. I don't know."

The blunette was never in these situations. He always followed other people's plans, not his own. When he was little, he made a lot of plans with his friends, but his mom always shot him down. He was taught to follow other directions and not his own.

Karma frowned. "What do you mean? There's plenty of stuff to do!" Nagisa still shook his head.

"I've never made a plan myself and followed it."

The red heads frown deepened. "Oh. In that case, why don't we get you a new phone and maybe get you a key of your own?"

Nagisa nodded. "Sure."

Karma grinned. "Alright. We leave in 5 minutes."

"5 MINUTES?! I HAVEN'T EVEN FINISHED BREAKFAST, AKABANE. HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA GET READY AND EAT IN 5 MINUTES."

"Just so you know, you lost a minute for talking."

"WHAAAAT?!"

~~

"I can't believe you actually kicked me out of the house once my 5 minutes ran out," Nagisa grumbled as the two walked into a store. "I'm a very busy man," Karma said in amusement.

Nagisa did the most adult like thing to do and stuck his tongue out.

The two boys walked over to a desk where an old man was reading the newspaper. "Hello. Can you maybe duplicate this key?" Karma handed him the key.

The old man took it and said, "it'll be done in 5 minutes."

Nagisa groaned. Another 5 minutes. Karma nodded, covering his mouth to stifle the laughs.

Nagisa wandered towards the electronics to search for a phone. Several caught his eye, but they were all so expensive. Who would even pay that much yen for a cell phone?

Karma noticed how Nagisa's eyes lit up, then he checked the price, and immediately the expression crumbled. Karma had plans to pay for everything, but Nagisa didn't know it.

Finally, Nagisa found a good phone for a pretty cheap price, but still he was short on money. He walked over to Karma, who handed him his new key. "I can't find anything here, we should go to another shop."

Karma smirked. "Oh Nagisa, you're not paying."

Nagisa paused. He turned to Karma, a dumbfounded expression on his face. "Huh."

"You're not paying for anything. I'll pay."

Nagisa blushed. "B-b-but you've paid for everything! How do I repay you?!"

"You don't," Karma deadpanned and paid for a phone. The blunette blew out his cheeks in annoyance. Once the red head paid, he turned around and saw a big cheeked Nagisa. He blushed crimson and handed him his things, quickly covering his blush with his hand.

"Here you go," he said softly as he stared anywhere else but at the blunette. How could Nagisa be so cute? He wanted to take him on that shopping counter right now.

The small boy gawked. Karma was... blushing? Nagisa almost smiled. That's right, you sexy devil, the tables have turned!

It wasn't until Nagisa realized what he thought and blushed too. I don't think Karma's sexy! Or... do I? Ahh, I'm so confused. His mind was telling him one thing while his body was telling him another.

He remembered when he came home with a boner because of Asano, lewdly rubbing himself against the red head for pleasure. Karma didn't seem to mind, he softly groaned and his face held nothing by bliss. It turned him on so much.

Nagisa shook his head, ruining his dirty thoughts. Gah, I want him.

Nagisa put 2 and 2 together and figured out.

He has a crush on the red head.
