Chapter 25

Karma searched every part of the forest, but he couldn't find a speck of blue anywhere.

He followed the damaged branches, since Nagisa seemed to collide into them. He didn't know why he ran after him, what could he do? Why was he this important to him?

He ran faster as he saw a big clearing. Once he got there, he slowed down to a jog, straining his neck to find something. He almost missed it, but his eyes caught onto something blue.

The red head quietly approached the blunette. His back was facing him, He saw a hand reach up and rub his eyes, a small sniffle reached his ears.

He immediately turned sad. He didn't really understand why he was so suddenly sad seeing someone cry, he never felt like that. But he felt like he had to comfort Nagisa, make him feel 100%.

"... Nagisa?" Karma whispered, reaching out a hand to touch his shoulder.

He saw the small boy flinch and jump up, backing up a few feet and wrapping himself with his arms. Karma frowned. "What's wrong?"

Nagisa rubbed his eyes again, smiling a bit. "Oh it's you. Nothings wrong, I'm fine." His smile didn't seem genuine, like he was trying to convince himself that something wasn't real.

"Are you... okay?" He watched as a tear streaked down his pale cheek before he furiously rubbed at it. He laughed bitterly, shaking his head. "Totally fine."

Karma's eyes narrowed. "Since when did you start lying to me?"

Nagisa gasped. That tone, he seemed almost annoyed with him. The blunette gulped, trembling. "Listen, I'm sorry. I know I've had to stay at your house and be a bother and I know I'm a complete waste of space but I'll get out of your house. I'll live with my mom if your that annoyed with me. I'm really sorry, I never wanted to be that much trouble."

Karmas eyes widened. No, he didn't mean to come off like that. But Nagisa continued.

"I'm really sorry I was secretive too. See, I was asking Karasuma-sensei where my dad was. Because, I thought you didn't want to have me there anymore and I felt guilty. So I asked him for information. But... I-I don't have anywhere to go anymore. M-my dad's.... d-dead. He died. S-so, if I'm that much of a bother and I don't have my d-d-dad anymore, I'll just live with my mom. I guess I'll just have to live with it." Nagisa shivered as he said it. He didn't want to, But he knew it was for the best.

Karma was speechless. This whole time, Nagisa was thinking about him. About how much he didn't want to disturb him. Karma felt bad. He felt bad for being mad at Nagisa's secretive explanation. This whole time, he never once thought about what Nagisa was going to do. But the blunette had been doing Karma's job.

"I'll pay you back too. I'm sorry you had to spend money on me. I-I'm sure my mom will give me something if I beg."

Karma didn't like this one bit. What his mom made him do. Everything that was spewing out of his mouth was the truth. Karma felt selfish.

But at the same time, he wanted him. He wanted him to be his. No one else's. The more he talked, the more Karma realized what love was.

Nagisa paused. Karma seemed taken aback. The small boy smiled finally, a genuine smile. "I'm sorry."

Karma reached out. His hand came so close to touching him, until he ran off.

~~~
Nagisa quickly ran to Karma's house, clutching the file in this grasp. He pushed the key in the key hole and entered, grabbing his coat and other necessities that he brought with him when he first got there.
He didn't want to go back, hell, he was scared. But he couldn't do this to Karma. He loved him, so he didn't have the heart to do something too cruel.
With a dreary breath, he grabbed his stuff and ran out the door.
He didn't once look back at the house.
~~~

It took maybe Karma a minute to understand what was going on in front of him.

Drama.

He hated drama, but this drama was different. It was his drama. Not Nagisa's, his. He never really thought about causing any drama, he thought it was annoying and a pain in the ass.

He always thought it was gossip or girl fights, but what was going on right now was his fault.

His drama.

He realized Nagisa had lost a parent. He realized how selfish he's been. He realized that there was no one to blame but himself.

And he hated it.

He sprinted off after Nagisa, but he had already left. Karma narrowed his eyes. If there was one place Nagisa would go, it would be his house. To pack.

He had to apologize. He had to make things right again.

~~~
Well, here he was. Right in front of hell. Nagisa gulped as he stared at his apartment door, raising his trembling fist to knock. He paused. Did he really want to do this?
No, it wasn't his choice anymore. He had to.
He knocked, feeling as his stomach churned. Only a few minutes later, a navy hair woman answered the door.
She stared for 10 seconds before smiling. "Nagisa! You've come back! Oh my goodness, my baby!"
He smiled bitterly, hugging his mother. "Yes. I have."
"Oh, I've been so worried! Where were you?!"
He closed his mouth, biting his cheek before answering.
"Oh, no where important."
