Chapter 37

Days. Days had passed since Nagisa was gone. Karma didn't know what to do. He went straight to Karasuma, hesitantly explaining what happened. For now, both assassins were searching and scouting, even asking Ritsu for a tracker.

As for the blunette, he was lucky enough with Asano. Nagisa happened to do a good job of hiding the fact he was aroused by the aphrodisiacs. For now, Asano left him be, probably too busy to even care.

It wasn't until Nagisa had sat up in his bed and stared around did he hear the door to his locked bedroom open up.

Ah. Just the face he wanted to see.

"What do you want," He said hoarsely. He had been using his voice less and less for the past few days. Asano smirked, sitting down in that same chair he always did.

"Did you know," he said wickedly. "That you are not Karma's first love?" Nagisa almost rolled his eyes. Well, he was pretty hot. He couldn't blame him. "And...?"

If Asano thought he was going to slowly break him down using Karma's past, then bring it on. He loved the red head more than he loved himself.

"Alright. What about this: You're father's dead."

Nagisa yawned. "No shit, Sherlock. I've known for a while now." But Asano continued.

"Do you know how he died?"

Nagisa grew silent.

"Your mother killed him."

Choking silence echoed in that cold room. What was he talking about? How could he know? That's obviously a lie, it had to be.

"How would you know...?" He managed, swallowing the lump in his throat. Asano smiled.

"I know everything, Nagisa."

~~~
"Anything?" Karma said, strolling in casually to the teachers lounge. Although he seemed fine, everyone knew he was taking this the hardest, and he was on thin ice. The air was tense in that room, Bitch and Karasuma-sensei desperately trying to get some kind of clue.
They had been to the scene of the crime multiple times, but still no sign or trace of clues.
Both teachers sighed suddenly, looking up to glance at each other. "We haven't found anything that could lead us to Nagisa, Karma." Karma's jaw tightened, but all else was well hidden.
"Okay, let me know if anything shows up."
With that, Karma dismissed himself to only skip class and head to the forest. He had a hard time trying to understand that someone or something took Nagisa without a trace. Even the slickest of assassins had to leave something.
He searched once more, inspecting tree after tree and piles of dirt for footprints.
Cursing loudly, he paced faster into the forest.
~~~

How Asano knew his father was dead was one thing, but that his own mother killed him? There was defiantly something fishy about that.

There's no way Asano knew more then Karasuma.

So, with a stubborn pout, Nagisa denied his statement with his life. His mother wouldn't kill somebody, especially her own husband.

The blunette waited, eyeing the orange haired asshole with distaste. He could only feel disgusted that Asano would go as far as to kidnap him.

Asano smiled. "Ah. You're wondering how I know more than your own teachers, I guess?" He knew he was correct when Nagisa's gaze sharpened.

"Okay, I'll tell you. Have you ever wondered how your teachers... well, you're in the End Class, so this may not portray to you, but in normal classes, teachers usually have the upper hand. Why? Student files. These files find all information about each student."

Nagisa glared. "There's no way one stupid student file can hold the answer to my father's death." Asano grinned wicked. "Wanna check?"

He presented a file that was on the desk, carefully giving it to Nagisa. Like an animal, he snatched the file, opening it up with curiosity.

He scanned and scanned until he found it.

His father was truly killed my his own mother.

"How.... How could you know this information...?" Nagisa choked out, staring at the details in horror.

"Like I said, Nagisa, I know everything. We know everything. You can't escape from the truth, because I will find out."

Nagisa glancing up, terrified of his enemy. How could he beat him with this much knowledge? Asano has to be useful at some moment.

Asano laughed. "You've finally understood, correct? You can't beat me! I have too much knowledge, I can predict your every move. That, or you can't beat me because of my knowledge. Either way, you're loosing your precious time."

Nagisa stared at his hands. He suddenly wanted Karma to be closer to him, which was impossible.

Only time will tell.

~~~
Days had passed, and the End Class was starting to take note of Nagisa's absence again. As well as Karma's, but this wasn't too abnormal, since he always skips class. It took a lot of energy for Karasuma and Bitch-sensei to hide their investigations, and Koro-sensei to teach the class and worry for his lost student.
Karma was pacing relentlessly in the forest, finding footsteps to only confirm that they were his a day ago. He couldn't handle this anymore, he had to find something!
He passed some trees, to only see something funny about them. The leaves looked sticky and sickly, a purple hue to their usually green color. He stared closely. The purple hue left a trail. Could it be? A clue?
Karma shrugged, plucking the leaf off of the tree carefully. He didn't want to touch the purple sticky stuff, whatever it was.
He sprinted back, bursting into the teachers lounge. "Karma," Bitch-sensei said in greeting. Karasuma looked up, looking at the strange purple leaf he found.
"I found this on the trees. They left a trail and I'm wondering..." he didn't have to continue. Karasuma stood up and opened the cabinet, pulling out some white, rubber gloves. "Give me the leaf," he said. Karasuma glanced at it, before putting it under a microscope that was handily right on their table.
"What do you see?" Karma asked after a few minutes. "... it's definitely some kind of... drug?"
Bitch-sensei took a look, only to gasp. "I've seen this before. If I remember correctly, I think it's... sleeping gas?"
Karma's eyebrows raised. "That's it! If we follow the trail..."
Karma's eyes grew wide with excitement. They may have just found Nagisa.
