1.3 Lana

It's true that the sun beaming wakes you up, because I'm certainly awake now that the sun has come to say hello to those at Coachella. But that's not the major thing that got me up.

The person that has motivated me to get up at this unusually early time is Ashton. The soft snores that are erupting from him makes it evident that he's still asleep but boy I did not expect him to look the way that he did. I thought by his outfit choice and the fact he wasn't showing his face that I'd unmask a lanky, pale ass, black haired guy with a fringe who's smothered in eyeliner. But no.
When I did take off his gorilla mask I unveiled a semi tanned, muscular guy. I have to admit it was a massive shock (maybe that's why I stared at him for so long). I just needed to take all of his features in; his hazel eyes that looked so horrified at first but softened when he saw how calm I was. Or the natural curls in his hair that were free flowing, cascading down his face.
He's genuinely beautiful.

I let out a hearty sigh to stop my palms from sweating with anticipation of what will happen next with myself and Ash. But as I let out my very conscious sigh, Ashton starts to stir signalling that he's waking up. Okay Lana act natural, don't look like a noob. "Good morning" I naturally say laying on my side "morning" he yawns ruffling his already fluffy hair. "What time is it?" He asks groggily as I check my phone "7:45" I say and lock my phone. "Oh well I better get going then.." He whispers as I nod wishing he wouldn't leave just yet "okay" I sigh as I unzip my minuscule tent.

Ashton let's me get out first and then I help him out "I hope you find your friends" I smile as he shyly copies me "so do I" he says as I giggle.

Before we say our last goodbyes the loud sliding doors become undone to reveal a rather wrecked Lola and Oliver "Booze and weed does not agree with me" Lols shrugs brushing her black hair with her black nails "neither- who's this?" Oliver asks looking Ashton up and down as Lol smirks "has my little Lana had a one night stand?" Lola asks wiggling her eyebrows as I roll my eyes "no I offered Ashton a place to stay for the night." I say huffing to myself as Ashton stays silent "oh yea just a place to stay?" She jokes but I'm still pissed at every single one of my friends for ditching me. This is supposed to be our time to be with each other and let loose before finals but I guess they think differently to me. "Yes. Plus I didn't hear from any of you last night anyway and Ashton didn't hear from his friends either so we made friends" I challenge as both of their mouths form an 'o' shape.

"I better go, see you soon hopefully Lana" Ash smiles breaking the awkward silence that loomed over us "oh-okay I guess I'll see you around then" I sigh hoping he won't leave but I know he has to. He quickly hugs me and walks away with a quick wave. I don't know why I'm so upset about this... I only met him yesterday and it's not like I have feelings for him or anything. Pfft no.

I shake the unwanted feeling of abandonment off and return to my dumbfounded friends to interrogate them some more "so where did you potheads go off to yesterday?" I say very serious, more than just serious, in fact I said it very harshly more harsh than I have ever said anything in my life. Both of my best friends looked at each other and Lola just nodded at Oliver and bowed her head in shame "well, we got food right and we're going back to find you when erm some guy came up to us and asked us if we wanted pot and it was for free so all of us didn't even think of the food and followed him" he tries to continue but is interrupted by Lola "please don't be mad at us!" She exclaims as I looked back at Oliver telling him to carry on "well when we got there.. We discovered more than weed.. There was actually a variety of drugs and the guy said we could try anything we wanted so we did and luckily Lola and I made it back to the van but I don't know about Harry and Gina. We're so sorry Lana!!" He begs as I try to process what he's just told me. "What drugs did you take?" I ask both of them this time "I took weed, some pills and a patch of LSD" Oliver says shamefully pulling his hoodie over his head as I just nod slowly.
Then I look at Lola asking her the same question "weed, LSD and erm.. Cocaine" she whispers which catches my full attention "cocaine?!" I yell as they tell me to shh "no! I'm not having this! You two better go find Gina and Harry whilst I get changed and then I'll help you. But you're both the biggest fools I've ever met. You guys weren't even there yesterday whilst I nearly got raped by Todd! You guys could've stopped him.. Do you know how much that hurts? We're supposed to be having a good time but all you guys care about is getting drunk and high! It's pathetic and I'm questioning whether I want to be friends with any of you after graduation." I say on the verge of tears as I grab a handful of clothes to get changed into. Leaving both Lola and Oliver a bit upset and I hope they are I've never met so many selfish people in my life.

I go to the portable toilets to changes into a pair of denim shorts and crop top. I put my hair in a messy ponytail (which is a little too messy but I couldn't care right now) I then put my gladiator sandals on and sunglasses so no one can see what a mess I am.

I start to look for Harry and Gina but I realise they didn't bother looking for me yesterday.. And Lola and Oliver never thought of me when they were shooting up multiple drugs so why should I bother? Instead I sit a picnic bench and put my head in my hands wondering what to do next; should I cry? Should I get off my high horse and actually help? I can't even call Ashton because I never thought to ask for his number. Overall I'm screwed and it's only 8 in the morning.
