-Jake's POV-

I watched Abel go to the bathroom and barely catch what Alex was saying to me.

"Hey man, you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm fine." I turn back to my game and continue playing while hearing the soft snores come up from Alex's mouth.

That was weird. Why was he just laying there staring down at me? It was like he wasn't even paying attention to anyone or anything around him.

I shrugged my shoulders and continued on with my game, listening and waiting for the bathroom door to open up again.

Finally I heard it open and heard the steps of his boots come back to the living room.

"Sorry again Jake for earlier. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." Abel said as he walked in.

"It's alright man. You wanna join the game and help me kill this bastard?" I asked him.

"Yeah just give me a minute to get set up." He replied.

I was pushing the buttons on my PlayStation controller like crazy when Abel finally joined the game.

"Alright man you see that giant ass tree in the corner?" I asked.

"Yeah what about it? We gonna cut it down with our swords?" He replied.

   I laughed at his reaction.

Man he always knows how to make me laugh. That's one of my favorite things about him that I like, his ability to make anyone laugh.

   Wait, what?

I shook my head and replied to him. "No you idiot, that's where we're meeting up to make a game plan of how we're gonna kill this jackass."

"So what's the game plan boss?"

I talked him through what was going on through my head, with a few ideas from him now and then, and asked what he thought.

"Sounds like a plan to me, but who's going to be the decoy?" He asked.

"I thought I told you already, you are." I said with a smirk on my face. Which I noticed he took a small liking to, for some odd reason.

"What the hell." He threw his arms up for exaggeration like he always does. "Alright let's get this over with."

He gave in. He actually gave in and didn't argue about trading places with me like usual. Something is off about him tonight, maybe I can figure out what it is.

I waited for his character to go inside and play the bait, which he did quite well if I do say so. I waited for the right moment to where I could sneak up behind the boss and kill it at the right moment.

"Anytime would be great Jake." He says frantically as I watch his guy run around in circles.

"Not yet." I tell him.

"Ok. What about now?" He asks again.

"Not yet pinky." I say.

"Jake, I'm gonna die!" He yells at me.

I find my opportunity and come behind the boss where it can't see me. I take my sword and stab it from behind, in the back of the neck.

"Found my moment." I say proudly.

"Yeah which you had to wait until I was almost dead." Abel complains.

"But did you die? No I didn't think so." I say.

He mumbles something under his breath and continues playing his game, punching the buttons with more force than needed.

"Are you alright?" I ask him, genuinely concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine, just thinking about some stuff." He replied with no emotion.

"Come on, talk to me about it. What's on your mind?" I ask.

"You wouldn't want to know, trust me. Even I'm not sure what's going on with me." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Tell me. I bet I could help you figure it out." I say.

How bad can it be?

I pause my game and get up to go sit next to Abel when I see him stiffen.

"What's going on?" I ask.

He looks at me and sighs. "Don't freak out ok?" He asks me.

"Sure." I respond nonchalantly.

"I've been having some... Mixed feelings about someone close to me. Someone who I didn't even think was possible that I could like that way. I'm straight so how could I like him? He's straight too! So what's the use in even trying you know what I mean? But at the same time I'm not even trying because I'm just trying to figure out what is going on inside my head." He says in one large breath.

"So who is this person?" I ask him slowly and carefully.

He looked right at me and whispered something I wish I hadn't heard. I wish I hadn't heard it because the truth was, I was having some confusion about myself as well.

"You." He whispered.
