Chapter 11 - The Sniffles

-Abel's POV-

It's been about three hours and no one has really moved from their spots. Shelby and Hunter finally came out of the bedroom and joined us in the living room and Kota said he had to go home and do some things, but would be back later.

Right now Jake was leaning his back against mine playing his PlayStation 4, while I was playing my Xbox 360. I pushed against his back just to annoy him and he pushed back with more force. That happened for a while until I heard Shelby cough, which didn't sound like your normal cough either.

   We all turned our heads to look at her and saw her holding her hand against her chest.

   "Shelby are you alright?" I asked her.

   "Yeah, I'll be fine. I just need some water." She said while standing up. Hunter got up as well and followed her to the kitchen, where we heard her coughing more and even harder. Alex got up and went to check on her which left me and Jake alone in the living room.

   "Do you think she's okay?" Jake asked me while scoring closer.

   I wrapped my arm around his waist. "I hope so." I replied. Alex and Hunter came back in the living room a few minutes later and sat down on the couch.

"Is she ok?" Jake asked them.

"I think so. She said she was going to go lay down for a bit. So we gave her some cough medicine and a bottle of water to keep on the night stand." Alex replied. "I was also looking through the kitchen for some food and noticed that we need to go shopping big time. So me and Hunter were gonna go get some more groceries for us. Do you guys want to come with?"

   I looked over at Jake and he shook his head no. "I think we're okay to just stay here." I replied.

   "Alright. We'll be back later, check in on Shelbs every now and then will ya?" Hunter asked us.

   We shook our heads yes and saw them leave. We continued playing our games for about another 30-40 minutes. Then Jake stood up.

"I'm gonna go check on sis real quick." He told me.

"Alright, I'll come with you. Maybe then we could have a little fun." I whispered in his ear and wiggled my eyebrows at him, which earned me a laugh in return.

We walked up the stairs and into Hunters bedroom where we assumed Shelby would be. We peaked in and saw her sleeping peacefully and uncovered by the blankets.

"Maybe she got hot?" I said.

"It's freezing in here though. That makes no sense." Jake said while walking in and covering her up. He walked back out and went to my bedroom and I followed him.

   I walked up behind him and hugged him while pushing him towards the bed. He fell against it and turned himself around so I was sitting on top of him.

   "Hi there." I said with a sly grin. He smiled back and laughed.

   "Hi." He replied while leaning in to kiss me. As our lips got closer and had just brushed each other's we heard a pair of feet running against the floor. We got up just in time to see Shelby closing the bathroom.

   I walked over to it and knocked on the door. "Shelby? Are you alright?"

   I listened and heard nothing at first so I opened the door slowly and saw her head hovering over the toilet, then it happened.

   She started to hurl into the toilet so Jake and I came in and pulled her hair back while rubbing her back. Finally, a few minutes later she was done and just laid on the floor. She sat up slowly and didn't say a word, just got up and went to lay back down in bed. I looked at Jake and I could tell he was thinking the same thing as me.

   He got his phone out and called Alex.

   "Hey Alex it's Jake, I think you guys might want to bring home a few pregnancy tests with you." He said while looking over at Shelby from across the hall.
