Chapter 22

Caitlin's POV

I woke up on the bed and this is not my bed. The last night's memories flow through me, making me remember what happened. Cameron lets me sleep in his apartment. He even lets me borrow his shirt and sweatpant.

I look at my phone to see what time is it, 11:20 am. Cameron suddenly came bringing foods on a tray, he came up with a sweet smile on his face, making me giggle.

"Good morning, sleepy head." Cameron said, chuckling.

"Morning, Cam."I smiled.

Cameron put the tray on the table that was next to the bed.

"Thank you for letting me stay in your apartment."I smiled.

"It's ok." He replied, sitting at the edge of the bed, beside me.

"Oh my god, It's tuesday." I was surprised.

Sure, I've been late to go to campus, I cant go to campus right now, after all I dont want to meet Eve, that bitch.

"I dont have the heart to wake you, you look tired."Cameron said, pouting like a five.

"It's Ok," I said.

"I brought breakfast, please eat." He said.

"Thanks," I replied.

I sat on the bed and put my hair into a messy bun. He gave me my breakfast, and I eat it.

We're chatting and laughing like kids, After breakfast, I decided to take a shower while Cam went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. He lets me borrow his clothes, again.

Out of the shower, I went down and saw Cameron was watching a movie. I sat beside him.

"Cam, I cant stay here any longer."I say.

"You want to meet him?"He says, turn all of his attention to me.

"I cant see him, it will just make me more.. piss."I sigh."However, I need an explanation from him."I explain, smiling weakly.

"What do you mean? It's obvious, he cheated on you. And you dont want to see him."His eyebrows pull together."Remember, i beat him last night and he lets you go just like that."He says angrily, throwing his hand in the air.

"That's not what i mean, Cam. I'm just saying, I have to do something. I can not stay her--" He cuts me off.

"Alright! Go see him!!" Cameron says, raising his voice a bit and looking away from me.

"Cameron, why are you angry?" I ask, confuse. Because he has no right to yell at me about that.

Okay, he helped me to go away from Jack but I'm still Jack's fiancé and I need an explanation. I dont want to have a relationship like this. I need to know why would he do that to me.

"I.. I just want to do good things for you, but you still want Jack, a jerk who has cheated on you. You're a good woman, you dont deserve to be treated like that."He raised his voice a bit, he looks away from me then whispers"As a friend, I just dont want you to get hurt."

He was right.

He said it with all of his heart, he didnt want me to get hurt. I'm glad he thinks that i'm just a friend now. I hug him around his strong shoulders, he instantly wraps his arms around my waist tightly.

Then we pulled away and smile to each other, my arms still lock to his neck and his hands squeeze my waist, I let him because he has a genuine smile that i really like.

I think he's moving on, and that's a good thing.
