9 Months Later

Faye woke up to the sound of loud stomping noises of someone running around downstairs. Fay mentally cursed the Eco and thin walls of her room. She stayed in bed hoping the noise would stop. It didn't. With a loud groan, Faye reluctantly got out of the comfort of her bed and walked downstairs. Once she was in the kitchen Faye saw Iris rushing around the house like a chicken with its head cut off. Faye leaned against the doorway amused that the cocoa skinned girl still hadn't seen her but annoyed that she was woken up.
"Iris!"
Hearing the annoyed and slightly aggravated voice Iris turned to see the brunet with her arms crossed and barefoot tapping the ground impatiently. Knowing that Faye wasn't a morning person, something she already knew even before she started living with her, Iris quickly turned and grabbed the choc-chip muffin and coffee and slowly made her way to give it to Faye. Iris walked slowly as though she was a dangerous animal that was about to pounce with one wrong move, which she kind of was.
Once she was at arms reached Faye quickly snatched the coffee and muffin out of her hand and took a long sip of the warm coffee. When Faye sighed in content as Iris let out a breath of relief. The once grumpy and mad Faye was now smiling brightly at Iris like she wasn't moments away from murdering her best friend.
This was the daily routine they had for nine months.
Nine ago Faye and Iris's Best friend Barry Allan was struck by lightning. Well, that's what Iris and everyone thinks. Except for Faye. The day Barry was struck by lightning was the day Faye for the first time in years saw Iris and Joe West and her first time meeting Harrison Wells, Caitlin Snow, and Cisco Ramon.
"So, where you off to at this ungodly hour?"
"I am off to work"
Faye made a disgusted look that made Iris laugh
"Well, cause I haven't gotten a call from your dad, I guess today is my day off" Faye dramatically fist-pumped the air which made Iris roll her eyes
"Hey, don't roll your eyes at me! You're just jealous that I don't have to work and you do" Faye childishly stuck her tongue out at Iris which Iris did in return
"Okay, well, I got fifteen minutes before my shift starts do you need a ride?"
That was one thing Faye hated, not having a car, more like not having her bike for Starling. After an accident with her motorbike, Oliver took it off her saying it was too dangerous.
"I might just hang around Jitters and get another coffee, plus, then I can annoy you a bit while you work since I'm not needed for my artistic awesomeness and then I'll go see Barry later"
Iris nodded and Faye left to get change. Faye often visited Barry after the incident. Iris did too but she had worked often and Faye had a lot of free time for the first few months. After a few months, Faye needed a job to make use of her spare time Joe offered her a job as a sketch artist. Since she was good at the drawing and already had experience as a scetch artist she thought why not. While Barry was in his coma, Faye also helped in collecting ran some samples from some small crime scenes, sure she was no forensics scientist or Barry Allen but she did help the department a lot.
On the way to Jitters, a local coffee place that Iris works, Faye and Iris talked non-stop. It felt good to have talked with her very talkative friend. Ever since Joe let her stay, not that she had a choice they wouldn't let her stay anywhere else, the two of them made her feel at home and a part of their family.
