Faye's fingers anxiously tapped on the steering wheel of Caitlin's small car. Caitlin eyed her friend cautiously the whole way.

"Are you okay?"

Faye bit her lip at the question,

"I'm just worried. I hate when he does something without thinking things through"

Caitlin nodded her head in understanding, her gaze soft

"He will be okay" she reassured with a small smile

"He better be," She paused releasing a sigh as she looked towards the road, "or else his seriously gonna regret it"

Turning left, she pushed down on the accelerator and sped down the empty road hoping to get to S.T.A.R labs as fast as she could.

Caitlin and Faye jumped straight out the car and ran to the entrance of the lab. Faye pushed herself to run faster as she heard the familiar sound of coughing and wheezing. Faye watched helplessly as Barry body collapsed on top of Cisco's computer area.

" I can't breathe." he managed wheezed out his body growing weaker by the second

"He needs oxygen. Get the crash cart!" Faye words came out hurriedly as she rushed Cisco.

"Barry! Barry.!" Caitlin called out as she noticed the look in his eyes and his breathing became more rapid. Faye swiftly helped Cisco in laying his body on the stretcher and into the, now classified, medical room.

"Cut me open." Fayes eyes widened in confusion before they glazed over with realisation,

"The poison's still in him. He brought us a sample." Doing as he ordered Catlin removed his suit exposing his chest.

"Caitlin, we need to do a pulmonary biopsy, extract an active portion of that gas." Dr. Wells ordered taking his place beside Barry limp form.

"I can't give you any anesthetic. Your metabolism will burn right through it." Caitlin explained rushed.

"I heal quick, remember? Do it." He weakly answered

"Cisco, give me the syringe."

"This is gonna hurt a lot, " Caitlin warned. She held up a long needle that Faye refused to look for more than a second. Barry's chest moved up and down at an irregular time but he said nothing.

"It's a small needle. You probably won't even feel it. " Cisco swiftly lied his voice cracking slightly as he attempted to support his friend.

"You're definitely going to feel it". Faye turned her face away as Caitlin punctured the needle right through his chest, only hearing a long gasp before total silence.

Faye listened to the soft steady beeping of the monitor. She stayed by his side worried for his health, though she was told numerous times that Barry would be okay and only need some rest.

She was snapped out of her daydream by the fimaliar sound of Barry groans.

"The Streak lives." Cisco cheered as he and Caitlin walked into the room seeing Barry now waking up.

"We seriously need to talk about changing that name," Faye muttered quietly to no one in particular. Caitlin spoke up after a small silence filled the room,

"You'd be dead if your lung cells didn't regenerate so quickly," Caitlin informed him as she ran her eyes over his charts once more.

"My chest feels like that one time I had a cigarette." Faye stayed silent staring at Barry as he joked half-heartedly. Cisco raised an eyebrow at his comment
