I opened my eyes and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and looked around the place. I wasn't in my bedroom, meaning that I must've fell asleep while I was cleaning last night. I yawned and stretched my arms and trudged to my bedroom to get dressed. The clock ticked loudly as if it was reminding me that I was going to be late to school. I quickly made my breakfast and devoured it down. My mother fell asleep on the couch last night while she was cleaning up with me. I laid a blanket over her so she wouldn't catch a cold and left for school.

I scurried across the snow, leaving a faint trail of my footprints. I held my textbooks tightly in my arms and kept my head down. I continued walking until my head hit something... someone.

"Boo," Jackson said in a monotone.

I looked up and saw his emotionless face.

"What're you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm protecting you from danger," he replied.

"What?" I laughed and playfully pushed him away. " I can look after myself thanks."

"No you can't," Jackson argued and put him arm over my shoulder.

"Hey," Roy greeted us. "Um... what are you doing Jackson?" he asked confusedly.

"See look, guys like him are the ones I have to protect you from," Jackson said and covered Roy's face with his jacket that he was holding.

"What the heck?!" Roy yelled as he scrunched up Jackson's jacket and threw it on the ground.

"U-um sorry, I think Jackson is- "I was interrupted by Jackson.

"Roy, I'm afraid you are a major threat to Clara, please leave her alone," Jackson said in a serious tone.

"No, I just want to give Clara someth-"

"I won't allow that sorry," Jackson said and shooed him off with his hand.

"Argh! What is wrong with you Jackson?" Roy yelled and stomped off to school.

"Hahahaha did you see that?! I'm amazing!" Jackson laughed so hard that he clutched his stomach.

"Not funny, you just scared off my friend,"

"But it was funny," Jackson continued laughing.

I shook my head and walked off without him.

The first two periods of school took forever to finish. I sat at the back of the room with Shirley (chibimaruko6), folding paper aeroplanes and scribbling in books to make time past faster.

"Hey, so how's Jackson?" Shirley nudged my elbow while I scribbled on her book.

"I don't know... he's really strange," I replied and sighed.

"Yeah, he is, you should stay away from him," she warned and she threw her paper plane across the classroom, accidentally hitting Roy's head.
Roy turned around to see who hit him and gave Shirley a frown.
Shirley mouthed "sorry" and continued to fold another paper plane.
"Hey you know..." I started as I tapped on Shirley's shoulder to get her attention. Shirley looked at me with a concerned face.

"What do I know?" She replied.

"Do you know how it feels to like someone?" I continued while I faced my head away from her to hide my blushing cheeks.

"Heyyyyy I see you like someoneeee," Shirley mocked as she pointed at my face. "You're blushingggg." She laughed as she nudged at my elbow again.

"Hey stop, just answer my question," I responded sternly, trying to keep a serious face.

"Alright, I'll tell you how it feels after you tell me who you like, deal?" Shirley laughed.

"De-," I started but I was interrupted by someone.

"Hey how dare you laugh at my girlfriend?" Jackson came out of no where and sat on the table where I was scribbling on Shirley's book.

"G-girlfriend?!" Shirley stuttered as she was shocked. "Clara is this true?!" She stared at me in disbelief.

"Um... I don't kn-"

"Yes, it is true,"Jackson interrupted again as he placed his hand on my head and pushed it down so it looked like I was nodding.
"See, even Clara is nodding," Jackson continued to push my head up and down with his soft warm hands.

"Wow Clara, I never knew you had such bad taste," Shirley attempted to insult Jackson.

"Yes my girlfriend has really bad taste... in friends," Jackson raised his eyebrows at Shirley to show her that he was talking about her.

Shirley threw her paper aeroplane at Jackson's face and it hit his cheek.

"Ow, my eye!" Jackson yelled as he covered his left eye with one hand.

"It clearly hit your cheek!" Shirley shrieked.

"Ow, my eye, Clara I think I'm going blind, help me!" Jackson yelled as he leaned his head on my shoulder.

"Enough! Both of you!" I screamed as I stood up and left them, as they stared at me in shock.

I ran to the staircase to go to a place where I could be alone. I noticed my hand was trembling and my head started to go dizzy. I didn't know what was happening to me. I grabbed onto the railing tightly as I watched the area fade into pitch black.
