I stared out the window as I sat comfortably in my bed, with one of my arm resting on the window sill and my other hand with a mug of hot chocolate. I watched as the snow gently piled up on the other side of the window. I smiled to myself as I admired the beauty of nature. But it was a sad smile because I knew that I might not have the chance to see this beauty anymore.
I peered over the layered snow on my window and let my eyes focus on the opposite window of the house across mine. I saw a boy looking at me, his head was gently resting on his hand, he seemed like he was admiring something. He was about the same age as me and he goes to my school. He was quite a mysterious boy. I smiled and waved at him. He responded with a sweet smile but nothing else. I took a sip out of my mug as he continue to look at me until a car passed by and interrupted our silent conversation. And then he was gone.
There was a quiet knock on the door and I turned my head away from the window. Did the boy come to my house? I put down my mug on the desk and rushed to open the door.
"Good morning Clara, this is your letter," my mother handed me an envelope and went to make breakfast for me.
I carefully teared open the seam of the envelop and pulled out the letter. I was quite disappointed to see that it was just another letter from the hospital. But the good news was that it was about me finishing the medical treatment I've been having for years and not having to take any medicine anymore. I was going to be normal for the first time of my life!
