Chapter 6

Harry POV

"HARRY!"
"Niall, I'm right here!
What is it?"
"we're going out, get ready" he said as he puts his shoes on
"where are we going?" I asked as I was putting in my coat.
"To one of my mates's house, Liam,
he invited me over to hang out with him and his girlfriend.
Also to meet his sister, who just moved in with him"
"I don't know, I'm not invited.
Plus, he doesn't even know me,
We even have to finish our group project for art class remember?"
"Doesn't matter,
Liam is a nice guy, he loves meeting new people!
And we could use a break.
Come on Harry, please?" Niall begged as he gave me those puppy dog eyes.
I just chuckled as I sighed of defeat,
"okay, I'll go"
"HOORAY!"
"but your giving me a large bite of your subway tomorrow"
"awwwww!" Niall pouted as I chuckled,
grabbing his wrist and pulling him out of his apartment.
We were both assigned to do a large painting of the Statue of Liberty, with New York City at the background.
"can't I at least give you the answers to our pop quiz in photography?"
"you don't even have photography"
"still?"
"nope, sorry"
"AWWWWW!"

Selena POV

"can you pass the Parmesan cheese?" Danielle asked me as I hand her the cheese.
Liam, Danielle, and I were having dinner tonight,
well actually they were not me.
I'm just sitting here, stabbing my chicken Parmesan,
too busy thinking about Harry.
He's very special,
I know we're going to be close somehow.
Really, I never let people into my life since its so fucked up,
I only let Danielle and Liam in.
Well Liam, because he's my brother of course, and Danielle since she's my only friend I have.
But I have that desire to let the green eyed boy into my life as well.
"Sel, are you alright?
You barely touched your food" Danielle asked me.
"I'm not really that hungry to be honest"
"you need to eat, I don't want you to go hungry now" Liam said in a fatherly tone.
"yes dad" I rolled my eyes, taking a bite out of my chicken.
"that's my girl" he smirked as I chuckled.
Liam's friend is coming over to hang out I guess,
this should be good.
The door bell rings as Liam wipes his mouth with the napkin and walks over to the door.
"hey, come in" I heard Liam smile as I keep eating my food,
not paying much attention.
"oh hello Niall" Danielle stood up, greeting him with a kiss on the cheek.
I looked up as I find a blonde boy with bright blue eyes.
I could tell his hair is dyed,
I see his brown roots.
"hey Dani" he smiles until he looks down at me,
"oh hi" he greets me with his Irish accent.
I just smirked and waved.
I was always nervous around handsome guys as you can tell.
"Niall, this my sister I was telling you about, Selena"
"OH! Hi I'm Niall,
Liam has told me so much about you" he smiles as we shake eachothers's hands,
"yeah, who hasn't he told anybody about me" I smirked at Liam as he chuckles.
"Wow Li, she is exactly as you said she was"
"what did he say about me?" I raised an eyebrow as I crossed my arms at Liam.
"LET'S WATCH A MOVIE, SHALL WE?!" Liam cuts him off as I glare at him suspiciously and walk over to the kitchen counter.
"okay, oh I kind of invited a friend if you don't mind" Niall said,
"not at all, he's welcome here" Liam smiles.
"great, HARRY!"
Wait Harry?
Who did this blonde in-
"Everyone, this is my best mate, Harry" Niall smiled.
I looked up as I see a familiar cheeky smile with dimples,
and bright green eyes lighting the room.
"Hello, I'm Harry Styles"
It was him, Harry.
"I'm Liam Payne, nice to meet you"
I immediately get on my knees as I hide behind the kitchen counter.
I don't want Harry to see me,
I would would be in so much trouble since Liam told me not to talk to any boys.
Harry would literally get himself into trouble without knowing since he is a boy I've been talking to!
"Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce you to my sister"
I gasped as I had widen eyes, oh shit!
"Sele-"
"She can't come to the phone right now!" I shouted in a guy's voice.
I could tell Liam's annoyance with me not coming out,
I beat he's even rolling his eyes.
"Stop fooling around and get-"
* CRASH! *
"oh my god!" Danielle shouts.
I carefully look up as I find Danielle cleaning up the broken plate with crumbled cookies on the floor.
"oh babe, let me help you" Liam said as he helps her with the mess,
Danielle looks at me as she winks and motions me to my room.
Now's my chance.
I quickly run my room,
slamming the door.
Thank you Danielle.
I don't really know why she helped me,
but she got me out the awkward situation so I don't mind.
A knock hits my door as I groaned,
knowing Liam is here to give a lecture and go all 'Daddy Mode' on me.
I opened my door, expecting to see brown eyes,
"what is it Li-, Harry?"
"I knew I saw you here"

Harry POV

"I knew I saw you here" I smirked as she's still frozen,
"y-your just dreaming, i-it's just your imagination" she whispered to herself.
"I don't think this is a dream"
"A dream? What are-,
Oh I'm so embarrassed!" she shouts, realizing she was talking to herself.
"Don't be, it's fine.
I had many embarrassing moments myself" I told her,
"oh I would love to listen to your embarrassing moments" she said as we both chuckled.
"so um, would you like to come in?" she asked.
Should I go on?
I don't know if I should-
"sure" I nodded,
she steps aside as I step inside her room.
It was full of paintings and drawings,
even figurines she made.
One of those figurines she made was Mickey Mouse.
"wow, these are amazing" I smiled as I look at all her artistic creativity.
"Oh, it's really nothing.
It's just random doodles"
"Random Doodles?
I don't think so" I turn to her smiling.
"No one has ever complimented my work like you have,
many think it's just a waste of my time"
"well to me it isn't" I told her we make eye contact.
She was so beautiful,
head to toe.
Any guy would be lucky to date her, anyone.
I mean, she has this incredible talent,
I bet she can even draw the Statue of Liberty.
Wait a sec . . .
She could help me!
Since Selena is an amazing artist,
she could teach us how to draw this statue and get it over with.
She could help me and Niall!
Now, all I need to do is ask.
"Listen, Niall and I are doing this project for our art class, which we're assigned to do the
Statue of Liberty"
"Oh nice, I drew that hundreds of times,
piece of cake" she shrugged,
fantastic.
"Great, well Niall and I aren't the best drawers and I was hoping you could help us with our project" I rubbed the back of my neck.
"what's in it for me?" she smirked, crossing her arms.
Oh man,
how can I repay her back?!
"uh. . . I uh . . ."
"It's okay Harry, I'll help you,
I'm only joking" she chuckled,
touching my arm.
I smiled as she smiles back.
Our smiles fade as we kept eye contact,
frozen in place.
My eyes roam down to your light pink lips,
wondering if her lips soft or not.
Next thing I know,
I feel myself leaning in closer to her.
Our faces closing inch by inch,
I could feel my forehead against hers,
I looked into her eyes one more time as my desperation for connecting our lips together was killing me,
now there's no turning back.
"SELENA!" I hear a voice call out her name, I'm guessing it was her brother, Liam.
Way to kill the moment, Payne.
Selena sighs as she pulls away and we looked at each other confusedly,
was I about to kiss Selena?
I was, wasn't I?
Oh shit, now it's awkward between us.
"I'm sorry" I apologized to her.
"No it's fine, it was nothing"
"yeah, just a kiss" I said as I could see a hint of disappointment,
all though she tries to hide it with her smile.
"SELENA!"
"I'M COMING LIAM!" she yelled out,
"we should go with the others now"
I nodded as I follow her out.
As we get to the living room,
Liam's expression soon turns suspicious as he notices that I come at the same time as his sister.
"where were you two?" he asked.
Selena was speechless, she didn't know what to say.
"she was showing to the bathroom, I got lost" I lied.
"Um okay, well sit down.
The movie is about to start" he said, turning back to the television.
Right after the movie,
it's was time for Niall and I to go home.
"Alright mate, I'm off.
Harold and I have classes in the morning"
"what did I say about using my whole name in public?" I said,
"that only your mother can call you that in public since she's the one who changed you poop diapers,
you did say poop on the bench once when you were three"
"Niall!" I shout as I hear a soft chuckle.
I notice it was Selena since she was the only one with her hand over her smile.
I blushed at the ground,
well that was embarrassing.
"we do as well, we gave a hard day of work tomorrow at the academy" Liam said as he wraps his arms around Selena's shoulders,
"Wait? Your the secretary, and your making your own baby sister do your work?" Niall asked.
"I'm neglected" Selena jokes as Liam squints his eyes at her.
Secretary?
Liam is the secretary of the school I go to?!
I look at Selena with widen eyes as she just gives me her
'I know' look.
Looks like Liam is protective of his sister.
"watch when she has a boyfriend mate,
she won't always be by your side for long"
The thought of her having a boyfriend makes me jealous,
I don't think I would like seeing her with another guy.
I don't have the right to tell her what to do or who to date,
but it's makes me so angry.
"No way, as long as she lives in the same area with me,
I'm the only guy she'll be seeing" he said as gently tightens his grip on her.
I'm guessing he's too protective of Selena.
"Well let's go Harry,
bye Liam, Danielle!
It's was great meeting you Selena" Niall said as Selena smirks and waves.
"we'll join you out" Liam said as he and Danielle walk out with him.
Now it was just me and Selena.
I look at her as she just smiles shortly,
"Uhm . . . about what happened in your room . . ."
"no it's fine, you did say it was just a kiss right?" she chuckles weakly.
I said that?
Oh man, I sounded like a jerk.
How can I make it up to her?
"well I'll see you soon when we can,
once when we hang out sometime"
"yeah, okay" I nodded as I was about to walk out the door.
Once when I was about to walk out,
I just remembered.
THE PARTY!
How could I not have remembered?
Cher did tell me about a Halloween party the students at the academy also have at a frat house,
why don't I just invite her to one of those?
I mean, she will fit in since she's as young as the girls at the academy,
she'll fit in perfectly.
"Listen" I stopped her, before she closed the door,
"The students at the academy are having this Halloween party at frat house this weekend, which they have ever year,
and it's an open invite.
Would you like to come?" I asked her as she bites her bottom lip.
"Hmm, I don't know"
"it will fun, you don't even have to come dressed up if you don't want to,
just come and take a break from everything for a while"
I honestly don't give two shuts if I sound desperate.
All I know is I want to spend time with her,
I like being beside her.
She looks at me as she sighs and nods,
"okay, I'll go" she smirks.
I couldn't but smile cheeky,
although I was doing my victory dance in my mind.
"what time's the party?" she asks.
"at 8:00 pm on Friday, I'll tell Niall to pick you up"
"okay, well I guess I'll see you Friday"
"yeah, Friday"
"okay, bye Harold" she smirked as I chuckled.
"bye"
I can't wait wait for Friday night.
