Yuki's pov

The time had come for the New Year's festival. Getting the kimono on that I had bought before fit me like it was a glove going on my hand. The silky fabric glided across my  smooth, fair skin and it felt great. The softness made me smile in delight due to it being so smooth. I didn't want to take it off due to it being so comfortable. It was long sleeved and ended up being much longer than my own arms. There was ruffles along the bottom of it and on the top where the fabric overlapped. The length of the kimono went down to my ankles. The obi that was wrapped around my waist was colored in light purple dye. The rest of the pattern on the kimono was dyed in a darker almost violet color and on top of that dye there was a pattern of snowflakes of different designs and sizes.   I stood before a full body mirrored over looking myself and decided to do a twirl. The sleeves and bottom it flowing with my body. Once the loose fabric stood still I walked over to the nearby desk and grabbed a flower ornament. Heading into the bathroom I put my hair up into a ponytail and pinned back some hair adding in the flower.

'I'm nervous..so many people will be at that festival..the aliens may attack..meaning we have to be on our toes.'

I slapped my cheeks lightly to bring my senses back. I shouldn't think of the negative stuff when it hasn't even happened.

'Enjoy the time. When the time comes. The time comes and we will fight them off as we always do.'

I turned my gaze over to the window and walked over to it. The night sky covered the city like a veil darkening the colors of any object caught under its everlasting grip. I noticed the streetlights along the neighborhood and off in the distance the lights from the festival lighting the sky near them. Walking over to my bedroom door I put on the shoes that came with my outfit. Proceeding out of my room I went down the stairs the wooden shoes clacking against each wooden oak step.

"Ichiru, I'm ready!" I called out as I stepped out to the living room.

A door shut from upstairs and more clacking was heard coming downstairs. I turned my head seeing Yui trying her hardest to walk in the same style shoes I had on. Behind her Ichiru and Kisshu walked downstairs as well.

Yui had a kimono on that was bright yellow with green vines  and flowers along the bottom, and the sleeves. The obi was dark blue green color. The same blue green colored the ruffles that were along the bottom of her kimono and her sleeves. She had the same shoes I had on along with dark orange socks. Her hair was put into two pigtails She had short hair so we couldn't do much with it. she had a ribbon on both hair ties and she looked adorable. Kisshu wore a blue and black Yukata while Ichiru had a red and yellow one.

"Wow Yuki you look beautiful." Kisshu complimented as he kissed my cheek softly. Even with being a couple for as long as we have I still couldn't help but blush a bit.

"Aww thanks. You look good in yours as well." I told him.

"I look good in mine don't I kiss kun?" Yui asked Kisshu as she walked over to him still having difficulty.

Her kimono got caught under her shoe causing her to trip. It didn't take Kisshu to long to catch her and help her up making sure both feet were on the ground.

"Yes, you look very pretty." Kisshu complimented and that caused Yui to give him a big smile in return.

"Is everyone ready?" Ichiru asked.

"I need my flower!" Yui told Ichiru clinging to his kimono trying to keep her balance.

"I thought we put it in..." Ichiru began mumbling and trailed off as he began looking around.

After we didn't see it in the kitchen or living room I checked the bathroom finding it on the counter. The flower was attached to a clip and of course the flower was fake. Walking back down to everyone I put the flower in Yui's hair and we proceeded outside going to the festival.  It was a beautiful wonderland filled with lights that lit the areas with all sorts of different colors from the warmer colors of fall to the much cooler ones like blue, purple and green. The different yukatas and kimonos that people wore were also a work of art. There was so many designs, color choices, styles all of this was all amazing. As we walked around I noticed rides that have been used in festivals before and tons of games giving out different prizes. At the booths that gave out food was being served all sorts of different dishes were being sold including cotton candy, hot dogs etc.
