"Yes he called me and said I miss you Babe can we talk" I told Camila over the phone. "So what, please don't tell me you too are back together" She sighed loudly. "No, but my dad keeps asking about him...what am I going to say" "you tell him it wasn't working out and you need to just start over" I groaned. "The partnership tho.. I don't want to mess this up for him or my mom, they worked years for something like this" "they can't force you to be with someone Mani don't forget that" we hung up.
All my mind could think about was Dinah. What could she be doing, is she thinking about me, does she know I think about her,. I think I like Dinah, the way a boy likes a girl.
I got dressed , I wanted to be casual but dressy at the same time. I put on a black skirt with a Burgundy sweatshirt and my classic Adidas. I let my hair flow down my shoulders and messed it up a little bit.
Sooner Dinah came for me and I could feel my heart begin to race. "Hey" I smiled while I entered her car. "Hey you look..amazing" she said watching me scanning my whole body. Normally I would feel uncomfortable if Jacob ever did that to me but with Dinah..it felt different. "Thanks so do you"She half smiled.
We went to go see a movie then went back to my place. "Why don't you come in, it's still really early" I asked. "Sure" she shrugged.
We went straight to my room. "Your parents must love you a lot" Her eyes scanned my room. "I guess, a lot of space matters" I laughed. While I sat on my bed and turned on the tv. "And you don't share it with anyone" her fingertips traced my piano. "Nope only me" I smiled. "You have siblings?" I asked. "Yeah ,two" She sighed. "At least your not alone all the time" i added. "how can you ever be alone " she looked at me..
"I don't know how it's possible I never noticed you in school" She slowly walked over to me. I felt My heart rate increase. "Every one knew you though.."I mumbled. "I was pretty popular..wasn't I" She shrugged and looked at me, Dinah looked down at me while I looked up due to our position..I nodded my head. "What are you thinking about?" She asked while she licked her lips. "You"I mumbled.
There was an unexpected knock on the door. My dad walked in. "Who's your friend Normani" He smiled. "This is Dinah, I met her a couple days ago" I explained , he walked up to her and they spoke for a while. I couldn't hear anything , my thoughts blanked out everything they were saying.
"He seems nice" Dinah sat next to me. "Yeah, but he doesn't approve of this" I ran a hand through my hair. "Approve what, two girls being friends" she had a confused look on her face. "Oh" I mumbled. "I'm just kidding" Dinah laughed. Her lips unexpectedly kissed my neck. Then my collar bone. "Who said he has to know.."She whispered then softly bit my ear. I bit my bottom lip and watched her get up. "I'll see you tomorrow.."I nodded while she walked out. I touched my neck softly. No.
The next day
"Mom can I ask you a question" I sneaked up behind my mother. "Sure anything" She said while she looked through some files. "What if you stop experiencing feelings for someone you thought you would be with-" "Did you and Jacob break up?" My mother interrupted me. "Sorta.." I played with them hem on my shirt.
"Alright I'll just schedule a dinner tonight with his family" She smiled and got back to work.
I groaned and walked out her office. I needed to see Dinah, I needed her.
"Unexpected visit" The dark blonde haired girl stood by the door. "I needed you , I mean to talk you" I instantly felt embarrassed. She smirked. "Lucky for you no ones home" Dinah let me in. We sat on her couch, I watched her for a while and she did the same. It's like she knew something was wrong. "I'm guessing something about Jacob" Dinah tilted her head. I rolled my eyes at the sound of his name. "I tried to tell my mom I had feelings for you but she just arranged some stupid Dinner with his family" I let my guard down. " you tried to tell your homophobic parents you have feelings for me, I'm a girl remember" Dinah giggled. "I wasn't going to say you , just some one else" I sighed.
"Well how much longer do I have to wait.." Dinah asked while she moved closer to me, her eyes leading to my lips. "Wait for.." I felt my stomach get knots. "You." She whispered. "You can have me..." I moved up also. "You're his" Dinah's hands gripped my waist. "Incorrect" I mumbled. "I'm yours" I leaned in. I felt my phone vibrate behind me. "Answer it , Dinah moved back.
"Who was it?" Dinah asked. "My mom, I have to go back to make my self presentable" I said sarcastically. "What is that like some arranged relationship?" Dinah laughed. "I'll explain it you eventually" I shrugged. "Well what ever is going on you're mine..I'm the only one who gets to touch you ,got it?" Dinah said sternly. I kissed her cheek and left the house.
