After everything I witnessed I couldn't leave Dinah by herself. She tried not to show how hurt she was, but when I finally got to hold her I knew it was bad.
"Do you want to talk about it.." I asked while I started running my hands through her hair. "I don't know Mani..my jaw hurts right now" Dinah sighed. "Okay then I'll talk, I think you shouldn't have stepped to him like that..you could've gotten way more hurt tonight" I said.
"Well maybe some of us aren't scared to step up to our parents" Dinah mumbled. "That was uncalled for" I sat up. "Lay down" Dinah said calmly. "No, I know you're mad at your dad right now but you can't go around being a bitch to people" I started to get upset. "If I'm being a bitch you should just leave" Dinah got up. "Fine, I will" I got up and looked at Dinah.
Her eyes were filled with anger, not one bit of love, she was clearly over this.
I sighed and walked away "if you leave don't come back" I heard her mumble. I kept walking hoping she would at least run after me, but as soon as I entered my car and she wasn't their it was over.
**Ally's apartment **
"Someone had a ruff night" Ally sat next to me. "Basically" I checked my phone to see if she texted. "Well tell me.." Ally waited. "Me and Dinah broke up.." At least I think we did, it really feels like it.
"What, why?" Ally gave me her sad eyes. "We had a talk, not an argument and she was bitching about it, so I told her ,then she got all defensive" I laid back on the mattress. "You deserve to be single , why would you do that" Ally shook her head.
"I'm done talking about it" I went to the room I'll be staying in.
**next day**
Dinah's pov
"Dinah" I heard my mother knock on the door for the fourth time. I didn't wanna see her or anyone to be exact.
"I'm going to work, Regina and Seth are at grandmas house..do you need anything?" She asked before leaving.
I waited a couple minutes before coming out my room.
"You really thought I was gonna let you go through this by yourself" I heard Lauren say as soon as I entered the living room. "Fuck, you scared me" I sucked my teeth. "Ally told me what happened between you and Normani, your mom told me about your dad"
"Isn't that tragic" I looked through the cabinet for something to drink. "You should talk to her" Lauren tried talking to me. "About?" I poured the clear substance in a cup, then gulped it down. Then repeated the process taking a seat across from Lauren.
"Last night , she was helping you"
"She made it worst"
"How"
"She just did , don't be so difficult"
"No, for once someone other than me cares enough for you, and you don't like that. So you're trying to push her away, don't do that Dinah." Lauren sighed.
Everything Lauren was saying was probably true but I won't admit it to her.
"And don't start this drinking shit again..it isn't healthy" Lauren kissed my forehead then left.
After a couple more cups and my hands staring to feel numb I called Normani.
"Hello" Her voice was serious.
"Hiii" I felt a smile form, while saying it.
"Dinah, what's wrong"
"What isn't wrong, you left me" I mumbled. "You made me, I had no choice" Normani sighed. "No you had a choice, I - i - want you" My voice got horse. "I'm coming" was the last thing I heard.
**
A loud knocking noise came from the front door , since it wouldn't stop I had no choice but to open it.
"Mani" I sighed. "Dinah" She breathed out looking at me disappointed. "Why the look" I held her face. "Come on" Normani closed the door and took my hand.
"Sit, I'm gonna get you stop water" My girlfriend walked away, I didn't wanna stay in one place. I wanted to be next to her, on her..
"Normani". I mumbled. "Dinah I told you to sit" She turned facing me. "I don't want to" I tried to kiss her but she leaned back. "Here" she handed me the glass of water .
"Fuck , I don't want this!" I threw the glass across the room. "What , what do you want Dinah?" She looked at the broken glass. "You" I looked down feeling really disappointed in my actions.
