chapter eighteen

♡ ; the apology

avery's pov;
So today is my doctors appointment and I'm really nervous if I'm being completely honest. Fiona and Debbie are tagging along so that heplped me feel a bit better even though V can't make it since she's working extra shifts at the alabi tonight.

"Are you's ready to go?" Fiona shouts from downstairs. "Coming!" Me and  Debbie shout back tieing the laces of our converses. Today I was dressed very simple with my dark denim high waisted shorts and a basic white crop top with my denim jacket and white converse. We took one more look in the mirror and went downstairs. "We're taking the L." Fiona tells us. So without wasting anymore time we begin to walk towards the station. "Are you nervous Hun?" Fiona asked. "A bit." I replied. "Don't worry. It'll be fine." She comforted me. "Have you thought about if you want to keep it?" Debbie asked. "Not sure. My minds everywhere at the moment." I sigh. They nod.

We had just arrived and we're currently in the waiting room. Suddenly my mind drifts to the thought of Carl. Who apparently hasn't been around lately? I don't know if I should worry or not? Fiona says he does this sometimes but it's been a common thing lately and Debbie thinks it's just his time where his fuckboy reputation comes out most to forget feelings he doesn't need or want. Like for me? But my early pregnant hormones are everywhere and I'm so confused. I guess I just care about him and I want him to be safe. A voice suddenly interrupted me from my thoughts, "Miss Avery Moore?" Me, Debbie and Fiona all stood up and followed the young lady who looked about 30?

"So Miss Moore what may I do for you today?" She asks taking a seat at her desk while we all take the three seats in the room. "Well I'm pregnant. And am curious to know who the father is." I explain. She nods her head and asks for samples. "I normally wouldn't ask this but are you keeping it?" She says trying not to sound noisy. "Still deciding." I shrug with a smile. "We'll Miss Moore have a good think about this and I would suggest maybe knowing by your next appointment which could be at the end of this week? When you get the results back. And we can also do a checkup to see how the baby is doing?" She smiled. "Thankyou Dr Thomson." I hugged her and she looked taken back but hugged back straight away. "Well I'll see you on Monday same time? That is my next free appointment." She said. "Sounds great." I replied walking out the door with Debbie and Fiona following. I quickly paid for my appointment and then we went back home.

"Who's hungry?" Fiona asked as we walked through the door. "Me!" Me and Debbie shouted. "What do you three want for dinner?" Fiona asked Lip, Ian and Liam who were at the dinning table. "Pizza!" They all yelled back in sync. "Pizza it is. Girls do you mind ordering? I've got to quickly go over to check around for Carl. Ill be back soon. Call me." Fiona saidshutting the door behind her. Me and Debbie went up to her room and ordered 5 pizzas. Pepperoni, Plain Cheese, Hawaiian, Supreme and a desert pizza. We decided to chill for a while and go downstairs so we could hear when the pizza had arrived. Then we put on Pretty Little Liars and watched an old throwback episode. Right when an A scene came on we heard the back door creak open causing us to scream since we were in pitch black. "Girls its only us." Fiona chuckled as she hung up her jacket then coming into the living room with Carl following behind her. "So did you's order?" Fiona asked us. Debbie nodded. "It'll probably be another 20 minutes" I added. She nodded and walked upstairs as Carl couldn't stop looking at me? "A-Avery may I speak to you privately?" Carl nervously asked. Wait did The Carl Gallagher just stutter?? I pushed the thought aside and followed him to his room while Debbie gave me a supportive smile.

As soon as we arrived to his room he shut the door behind him and we both sat on the edge of his bed. "I'm sorry." He slowly said looking down at his hands. I didn't reply because I was waiting for him to finish his apology. "I'm sorry for pushing you aside, pushing us aside when deep down I knew it was more than just a fling. Your different to every other girl I've been with. With you I actually feel whole again, I feel the need to be by your side every second of the day to protect you because I think I'm falling for you. And I'm sorry I ran off, I usually do that to run away from my problems but when Fiona found me, I wanted to stop running. I missed you. And I want you to know that I know why you got with Tyler it was probably all payback and trust me I deserved it. Avery Macy Moore I think I'm in love with you." I felt a few tears roll down my cheeks because I've never seen this side of Carl and now it's my favourite. It made me want to spend the rest of my life with him. He kissed away the tears and now our lips were only a few inches apart. As he moved closer so did I, then in a matter of 3 seconds our lips had connected and they started to move in sync. As we parted I whispered against his lips, "I forgive you, Carl Francis Gallagher." He smiled.
