Shikamaru's P.O.V.

"So I have to show this newbie around the village and babysit her?" I ask Tsunade.

"Yes." Says Tsunade.

"What a drag, why do I have to?" I ask.

"Because you have to. Besides, you're the only ninja available at this moment." Says Tsunade.

"What a drag, why did I have to ask for a break at the busies time of the year, anyways how old is this person, ten?" I ask smirking.

"No, she's seventeen, like you, and she's a Jōnin, like you, from The Sand Village." Says Tsunade.

"Why is a Sand Ninja in The Leaf Village?" I ask.

"Due to the Orochimaru incident, The Sand Village had decided to let go one of their Jōnin and to give her to us. It's obscured but I need the best for the village, so makes since to accept. I heard she's an outstanding Jōnin, she should be here soon so please hurry and meet her at the gate please Shikamaru." Says Tsunade.

"What a drag." I say without interest. I suddenly hear a knock at the door and a soft female voice.

"Hello? It's the Jōnin from The Sand Village. May I come in?" Says a soft polite female voice. Tsunade looks at me indicating that I should've stopped wining and hurried to the gate.

"Yes, please do come in." Says Tsunade straightening up. I turn around and see the door open with a young female walks in. I stare a little thinking that she's... pretty....

"Hello, I'm (y/n) (l/n) and I'm your new Jōnin from the Sand Village." Smiles (y/n).

"We've been expecting you (y/n), this is Shikamaru Nara, a Jōnin from The Leaf Village. Shikamaru, please give her the village's headband." Says Tsunade.

"Yes." I say handing (y/n) her Leaf Headband.

"Thank you Shikamaru." Says (y/n) smiling. Her smile shines beautifully and her pretty (e/c) eyes glitter I thought to myself

"Uh, you're welcome." I say.

"Well you two should be heading off now." Says Tsunade.

"Uh, yeah sure. It's a drag but ya know but whatever." I say acting as if I'm not interested. (y/n) and I head out and walk the streets of The Leaf Village.

(y/n) P.O.V.

"Wow this is a nice village." You say with delight.

"Well yeah I guess." Shikamaru says. Suddenly you see a female child being threatened by an older guy, maybe in his late twenties. He's holding up his Kunai ready to stab the child. You quickly run to the two and luckily block the man's stab to the child. Unfortunately you were stabbed in the arm, but you didn't feel much pain, just a little. Soon Shikamaru catches up to you telling the young child to scurry off home.

"What do you think you're doing harming a child like that?" You say aggressively.

"I... uh..." The man stammers. You were tired of this guy and decided to punch him so hard that he actually flew up in the air landing on the ground scared.

"Woah, I better not get on her bad side." Thought Shikamaru.

"Yo-you wo-wo-won't get a-a-away with this." Stutters the man. You give him the death glare and he runs off calling for his mommy.

"Pfft, punk." You say watching the man run away calling his mommy.

"Hey (y/n), needs some help with your wound?" Says Shikamaru as he picks up your arm.

"Ow." You say as you flinched.

"Hmm, it seems that it's a minor wound but we should wrap it up. My place isn't too far away. Come on and I'll lead the way." Says Shikamaru while he takes you to his house.
