Your pov

I am back in Phoenix visiting Devin one of my best friends since the diaper days. He asked me to come down to see him. It's been almost a year since we last seen each other. Besides the late night phone calls, texts, and the occasional face time.

So here I am watching one of his games. He knew how much I love basketball and to watch him. I had front row seats behind the team.

Every time there was a time out he couldn't help but look at me and do something. He'd smile and I'd return the smile. Then he'd smirk and I'd smirk. After coming back from half time he actually winked at me. It took me by surprise and made me laugh. But nevertheless I wink back.

The game continues on and I watch him very closely. He is doing very good but deep down I had a feeling he was showing off. I didn't mind at least I knew he is doing it for me.

In a split second I watch him get hit in the face. I cringe and grip ahold of the seat. He doesn't move for second and I stand up in my seat. His head turns to the side and I see the blood dripping. The whistle was blown and someone rushes out to the court to keep the bleeding under control. It was just a small cut I thought to myself.

He walks off the court holding the towel in his hand like he doesn't need it. He looks up at me and smirks like he just got the best news of his life. The trainers were guiding Devin back to the locker rooms. He kept looking back at me. I walk around to the steps and follow behind them.

"Booker you need to put this on your head so we can stop the bleeding." One of the trainers try to put the towel on his cut but he moves his head.

"Listen to them!" I bark at him. He turns around and smiles.

"Some how I knew you'd be here." He says.

"Hold him down if you have to guys." The trainers look at me then back at Devin. They were short compared to the 6'6 shooting guard. We go back into the locker room and they sit him down.

He refuses to get the cut treated and it was really irritating me. "I'll clean it. Just leave." I say to the trainers and they only gave in because they were tired of trying to fight him.

"You know you're a real pain in the ass sometimes." I state and Devin only smiles. I get the towel and wipe up the blood from the side of his face. He knew not to put up a fight with me cause he wouldn't win. I stood in front of him and lightly dab the cut.

Devin puts his hands on my hips and I look at his eyes. "Sorry I need something to grip with you attacking me like this." I only roll my eyes. Devin watches my every move while I clean the cut. It looked deep but doesn't need stitches.

"Kiss me." His voice comes out very deep and I felt the chills roll down my spine.

"What?" I had to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me.

"Shut up for once and kiss me." He smiles, showing his pearly whites.

For so long I've dreamed of him to say those words to me. I pushed those thoughts away because he's my best friend and it didn't seem right.

But now, right here, there's no way I'll pass it up. After all he made the first move.

"Are you sure?" I place my arms around his neck.

"You talk to much." He says and I lean down to reach his lips. Our eyes instinctively close, then I felt our lips meet. His were a little more warmer and softer than mine. I did what felt right and move my lips with his. He deepens it by wrapping his arms around  my back and pulling my body closer.

We slowly pull away and my lips were literally on fire. My heart is taking dips, my stomach is in knots. The feeling is just overwhelming.

"Wow." We both say at the same time.

"Kiss me again." I say this time. Devin grips my waist and pulls me down. My legs go around his waist and this brought us way closer.

I didn't care that he is sweaty at the moment. I didn't care about anything but just me and him. All I want is to feel his lips on mine again.

"You're beautiful you know that right?" He compliments me, that familiar red tint could be felt on my cheeks. Devin notices and only grins.

We reconnect our lips back together and this time we both threw everything we had in it. It's almost as if you could feel the passion between us.

This is one of those nights you won't ever forget.
